  2. What he said ... Senko on the deck at all times when fishing a Cavitron.
  3. Me, myself and I. So quiet and peaceful. Don't get me wrong ... I enjoy my fishing buddies but nothing beats the peacefulness of fishing alone to me.
  4. All our tournaments include Largemouth and Smallmouth.
  5. Some say the bite doesn't change much because they are on the feed before winter hits. Referring to northern waters anyway. I hope so ... my last tournament is tomorrow! Hard to tell until you are out there.
  6. Caught a few sturgeon out of the Hudson River chasing Striped Bass.
  7. 30lb braid ... just because
  8. Every bass which I catch and lose at or near the boat fits this description ... "That was a record ... "
  9. Strike King Structure Jig and Rage Chunk ... Black and Blue. On fire for me these past few weeks.
  10. Wow. That is quite impressive!
  11. No trailer, No trailer hook
  12. I for one am thankful that the Giants showed up to play. Those d**n fumbles, the Dallas run game and Dez were just too much to overcome for them yesterday. Fun game to watch but at least it was competitive unlike the Eagles "game". LOL
  13. This post inspired me to get my A-Rig out and fish the hell out of it today. I caught my very first bass, actually 3 and a few pike on the rig. One 3+lber practically ripped the rod right out of my hand. What a strike! Helluva way to fish. So much fun!
  14. IMO there is a difference but it is minor. 2 piece tend to be a bit softer in general. Get the 2 piece if preferred.
  15. Big fan of the YUMbrellas. Especially the flash mob jr.
  16. Just fished a tournament that all the bass wanted was a spinnerbait. It didn't matter what color as long as it was a spinnerbait. Spent the entire day trying other things to get bigger bites and nothing. Went back to the spinnerbait and it was "on" again.
  17. I just had this happen in a tournament and discussed this at nauseum with fellow anglers and people on this forum. It is very difficult to fish behind a buzzbait with another buzzbait. I agree with the suggestion of a spinnerbait, bladed jig, crankbait or swim jig. You can still cover water and hit those fish which do not want to strike the topwater. On a side note ... have your wacky senko handy. If you are partners and there is a missed strike be ready to toss that puppy.
  18. Definitely give that a shot ... I haven't given up on them but the novelty of them wore off on me quick.
  19. When messing around from the bank I rigged up the following Bullet weight crimped a split shot about 18" above the hook. Hook and finesse worm. Worked out fine but you need to watch that your line does not fray from the cast and drag. I do own carolina keepers and prefer that over anything else though. Have fun and try it out.
  20. Rapsody Rod ("The One") and Bass Pro Qualifier = $190ish.
  21. I have used them. One way I fish a senko is to twitch it and let it sink. Kind of like a fluke. I used these and didn't think they were anything special. Caught fish on them like any other senko-ish bait but nothing to cause me to buy a ton more of them.
  22. DUring the winter when I get REALLY bored I will take the 2-3 hour trip to BassPro just to wander around and see the new stuff. Otherwise I am more than content with online. TW in particular.
  23. A jig is a great way to feel the bottom. If you are unsure what you are feeling test in shallow visible water. Find different bottom contours and drag it through it. You will quickly determine sand from pea gravel from chunk rocks. If you are in mud or packed in muck you will be bringing stuff up with you.
