  1. Your right, big difference, but if Im not mistaken, being the OP, the title is..."Xcalibur Hi-Tek Tackle" and also went back and edited the UPDATE post that I copy and pasted and might have really confused people
  2. There is and a lot of Misinformation as well
  3. Does everyone pretty much order from TW or JJs site? There based out of GA and even though I'm in AL. The only place I can walk in and buy is at Walmart at Lake Eufaula
  4. That's copy/paste content there....no need to get to get hostile
  5. UPDATE! Just a little info about Xcalibur Baits from a forum I am in... Jonathan HENRY I've seen a couple of posts and videos about the scarcity of the Xcalibur Rattlebaits, and I want to clear the air with what truths I can share for you. It's true, they are hard to find this spring. And it's also true that you will never buy many more in an Xcalibur package. However, it is very untrue that you will never see this bait again, and it's false that one of the largest tackle companies in the world has cut them from production, actually I know some are being poured right this minute. I can't share more with you at this time, but you are about to see this bait again very soon, in a whole bunch of new colors that I have seen with my own eyes and trust me they are worth the wait! Booyah Baits,YUM,Bomber Lures
  6. Hey guys Im headed up from South Alabama to Logan-Martin this weekend (3/21-22) for a club tournament. Any reports, tips, help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Great question and love to here more since I have a garage full of tackle....I'm pretty sure it's insured but does it have to be roughly itemized to file a claim?
  8. Glad to help. I'll typical match the skirt color. Cloudy days black...high skies white. I pretty much keep it simple like frogs...black or white when it comes to buzz frogs like horny toads or ribbets. If I'm fishing for spotted bass I will use a chartreuse split tail trailer....Tight Lines!
  9. Bubblegum Trick worm is also on top for me.....especially when I was introduced to the weightless w/ swivel approach in the summer..... As far as newer baits that I was sceptical of but love now is the Jackall Pompadour
  10. As said before I'm sure he uses R2S baits like the biggie Squarebill and bling spinnerbaits....snag proof frogs...Ish's phat frog and the popping phat frog. He'll be the first one to tell yA he's a big fish fisherman and kinda whines about it like in MLF when everyone was eating his lunch and he couldn't catch frog fish or flipping a middle d bomb Ish IMO is a lot of talk but not much walk. There's a difference is being confident and cocky and he's just cocky for no apparent reason. I wish Keith Poche would have slugged him when he jumped on his boat and pushed him off the boat....in the lock! Sorry for the rant but think ish is a good fisherman but not great compared to the rest of the FLW and elite guys and just looks and sounds like a dumb arse most of the time. I'm off my soap box!
  11. Being new to walking baits, I'd say for the money and avaliability get a SK sexy dawg jr. or a Super Spook Jr. Once you get to where you can walk em good and find that cadence, i'd experiment with a Reaction Innovations Vixen as mentioned because it's bigger and flat out catches fish with its unique sound...and then maybe a Lucky Craft Sammie for its unigue tail down/head up in the water...great hook up ratio and walks easily fast. I still think the super spook jr walks the best for me. TIP: I always remove any split rings on the line ties, if they come with them and tie a loop knot directly to the line tie....Its a strong knot and it makes any walking bait walk that much better!
  12. PM'd ya
  13. That might not matter to some folks, but thats a killer for me to see Rayburn go where I fish...I've even got some Aruku Shad's that are custom painted to match Xcaliburs rayburn red pattern lol
  14. I placed an order for 8 more xr50s Rayburns and 3 xrk50 Rayburns through a local tackle store yesterday....they say it went through and was confirmed...if interested in a couple, if they arrive next week, PM me...I'll sell ya a couple
  15. And hopefully not a new/alter color pattern pallette...is see nothing wrong with their colors especially for the lipless baits...so many great ones and different than other brands....like Royal Red, Lemon Lime and Toledo gold
  16. I can see that for sure, depleting what stock they have for a makeover. Know that you say that the 75s were more plentiful of the 15 or so they had left at Academy. I hope they keep they're squarebills around and the zell pop please! lol
  17. yes sir! That seems to be the consensus..."was a good color" ...TW doesn't show that color as one they stock anymore, basspro does but both TW and BP say "backordered" on all xr50s. Glad I got me 5-6 last January on sale at Academy...to hold me off lol
  18. Wait...wait! There could be a lot more goodness in this lot.... are them brown cranks Wiggle Warts? bill will be stamped if pre-rapala wiggle warts and worth anywhere from 15-50 bucks depending on shape and color rareity
  19. Did you happen to fish Eufaula this morning, lol
  20. nice! yeah for spawners and especially male chasers that pause and be deadly. If the water is a little stained there's no better way to cover spawning flats for bed than with a buzzbait.....they can't stand it! lol
  21. Grandpa is right IMO and can expand on that even...for me it just depends on the high/low pressure, cloud cover and wind. I throw it from late March/April clear thru July/August. Personal best tournament weight...23#s came on a white lunker lure on a cloudy, 5mph wind day with low pressure...around lilly pads in 3 ft of water....timing is key with a buzz bait but ALWAYS a good search bait for sure! Post spawn...just slooow it down, maybe use a cavatron buzzbait of ad a buzz frog style plastic or grub on the back to help it float better and let you slow roll it
  22. Black or white Horny Toad...if I want a little more lift to slow it down more I use a ribbet frog which pits of more action too. Also have used and caught fish with a fat Albert grub, zoom split tail and even a small white lizard from zoom
  23. XT3, which bait was that? Another Jerkbait of there's I really like is the xEE4 (edwin Evers erratic Shad)
  24. That's right the name on all boxes are "Xcalibur hi-tek tackle" they have VMC hooks represented by a "tx3" on the package as well as the VMC logo
  25. Who knows with Pradco brands. Heddon, on of their many brands, are notorious for altering/discontinuing colors and patterns. Their Super Spook Jr. FL Bass now has only a white belly when the used to be yellow belly (which is my all time favorite pattern)...so I found 4 on eBay and scooped them up I love the lipless crankbaits from Xcalibur especially the xr50 and xrk50 (one knocker)...really quality stuff! Prespawn on lake seminole almost REQUIRES an xr50 in Rayburn Red to get the biiig bites. Almost like a wiggle wart on table Rock. And the Zell pop too! I hope there not gone!!!
