  1. Teal, one rod for c rigs and deep water cranks.
  2. I really appreciate all of your input on this. It is really helping me with my decision. One final request and I will stop bugging you guys on this. If all the top of the line rod bulders called you and said you can have any rod you choose for free, but you have to fish it for carolina rigs and deep cranks- 12 to 20 feet or more exclusively, what would you take. After I buy the rod I will do a review on it to show my appreciation for all the help. Pete
  3. I am trying to decide if it would be ok to use a TBC76 MHMF rod for both Carolina rigs--1/2 to 1 and a quarter ounce and also use the same rod for deep diving large rsize cranks. I can only afford one rod at this time. If its a bad idea I will wait till I can buy both the big cranker and the carolina rod. Thanks
  4. Im going to purchase one of these two and would appreciate it if anyone who has used both can coment on the difference, other than price. Any pros and cons would be appreciated to help me with my choice. I have used the chronarch but not the Core. Thanks in advance, Pete
  5. Every year we nail tons of pike on this lure in northwest Ontario. White works the best.
  6. Got mine 10 days after I mailed in the invoices. Was really surprised to get it that quick.
  7. Ive caught lots of big Smallies on the 4" Big Hammer. My #1.
  8. If money was no object, which rod would you choose for deep cranking weedlines and rocky drop offs. Has to be a St Croix, Powell or Dobyns.
  9. Hi, my name is Pete. Sorry it took me awhile to say hello but I have been reading all these posts and almost forgot to introduce myself. I am a young 58 years old and I am totally addicted to catching smallies in Canada, Michigan, Wisconsin and my home state Illinois. Sure wish I had stumbled accross this site sooner but maybe not because I would be broke and divorced, not necessarily in that order. LOL Pete
  10. Mike does that mean you should be able to cast the XF tip rod further using the same line and lure? Pete
  11. So I was finally on track to purchase a LTB today at Cabella's when i was completely spun around by a Legend extreme 7'0''.I picked it up and was blown away by the feel. It just seemed to melt into my hand. I just spent a week of reading post after post till I could hardly see the screen. Today I made up my mind on an LTB and then this happens. So know the question is do I get the 7'0'' MFcasting or the 6'8' MFcasting or even the MXF? It will be used for poppers, walk the dogs, xraps, 3"" grubs and flukes with jigheads and also 3" big hammer swimbaits. Also just incase the bait monkey jumps on my back--------- in the spinning rod, 7' or 6'8'. Mainly open clear water humps and shoals and rocky shores. All you Extreme owners please help.
  12. Clint and Bluebasser, Thats the exact info Im looking for. Since its Christmass time ive got a plan. I will get the 610 mxL from the wife, I will buy the 7'1''MF, and I can get a free rage on the promotion. God I love this country! Thanks for the help. Pete
  13. Clint, that being said would that give me a little better hook set than the previous years LTB ML.
  14. I am cosidering a purchase of this rod and would really appreciate any thoughts, opinions or feedback from anyone on it. I will pair it with a Stradic CI4 and will be using it for smallmouth in mostly clear rocky midlake humps, shoals and shorelines throwing 3" grubs, and flukes on 1/4-3/8 jig heads. Do you think this rod is a good choice for this. Pete
  15. Forgot to mention it will be used 100 % for smallmouth in clear open water from 3 to 18 feet with a CH mg50.
  16. How much of a performance difference is there between a 6' 8" LTB MXF and a LTB MF. I will be throwing Small to medium poppers, walk the dogs and xraps. after reading many posts I cant make up my mind which one to get , and what an awesome site this is. Wish I found it sooner. Pete
