  1. Been wondering about this too for some time. Seems like a gimmick to catch the fisherman
  2. You can drag a boat to the ends of the earth, but cant drag the trash to the end of the driveway
  3. Another MASS basser .. Welcome and enjoy the wonderful features this site has to offer.
  4. Welcome to BR If your the owner then by all means start taking out the smaller bass.. If you got a decent amount of 4-5lb+ bass then your fishery must be doing pretty good. Just do some research on the amount to take out per acre etc. As for sunnies im not sure the whole deal with them... Someone with better knowledge can help you out
  5. Good suggestions and such...Liking the feedback.. A butt ton of money and a group of us and we'd make the BEST indoor pond.
  6. Thanks for the responses everyone.. I already knew before asking this question that the idea can work.. It's just how well? Would it be the same as going to a local pond after adding all the elements of a real pond?... Think about all the things that dictates how the fish act? When it comes to weather, time of year, moon phases etc? It's hard to think the fish would relate to cover or structure like they do normally My guess is it would defiantly work.. I just don't believe it would be the same or even remotely like it?
  7. To start off this isn't a serious topic as i just wanted to hear what others have to say. so please don't shoot me down In a crazy world if you set up a pond inside the size of a stadium or smaller would/could it be a efficient, fun way to fish?? Already knowing the fish would act completely different in a indoor environment like aquariums, but would it work? Could you mimic a real world environment for the fish?? and be catching the same ways we do normally??
  8. Bass fishing isn't written in books so give it a go... I probably wouldn't throw a top water, but then again you never know.. all waters are different... last year i was fishing a tiny pond right after ice out with COLD waters and was catching them on kvd 1.5 slowly worked below the surface and throwing a rebel frog-r working slowly..
  9. Sweet never knew about the web app
  10. Check this post out should answer most of your questions. Just be patient and always alert cause you never know when a monster will strike. You'll probably need some decent gear to throw that 8" silver fish. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127060-huddleston-swim-baits-any-luck-in-the-north-east/
  11. So many reels i cant buy cause there RH only
  12. Many others including myself are probably wondering where the best places are to take advantage of cyber monday. There's the obvious big name places doing specials, but wanted to hear from others about where they shop. Lots of choices....
  13. One of my honey holes is extremely shallow.. If i go wizzing around with the troller motor and pass any quality fish i probably should pack up and leave.. Not saying there uncatchable , but VERY hard to get a bite.. Usually means coming back to the same spot two hours later.. Just like the above post the big ones would dive themselves into cover or dart away quickly to a safe zone. Shallow water= Little to no trollermotor use.
  14. Another north-east beast! All the way up in Maine too. Congrats!!
  15. As for hudds they defiantly work.. Even know there two different lures heres some pics of some dinks caught on the large MS Slammer caught on the first couple times chucking it. Really took the fear outta using these big baits. Don't matter where you live.. Only things that matters is finding the BOWs worth fishing big baits. If there's 4-5lbs+ bass in a puddle I'll throw a swimbait.
  16. My honey hole has them, but haven't seen any this year? Weird things they are...They look soft and gross even though there hard as a rock.
  17. Im curious cause i got plenty of places to fish where there's 5-7lbs and a few places that's been know for 8-11lbs... Obviously most people throwing big baits are after trophy's and there's no denying that some places in the NE hold big bass. Question is how big for are northern bass...? Should we think no different than the guys out west or down south for targeting these 8,9,10s??
  18. After catching a good number of quality largies on swimbaits I'll probably be dedicating most of my time chucking them.. So my main question to us north-easters(although a bass is a bass so any info from anybody is greatly appreciated ) how much is too much? Is throwing a 12" bait for 7,8,9lb+ bass an overkill? I got a 12" MS Slammer, it's really just 10.5" still a BIG bait... I dont want to waste my fall throwing a bait that intimidates fish under DDs Would love to hear first hand experiences with the 12" Slammer, but anyone who throws baits bigger than 8in is good help.. Tight lines bassresource
