  1. HAHAH OOPS!!! Dummy me didn't even realize what bait i caught her on! Been catching lots of swimbait fish an i lost track. Did indeed catch her on a BBZ 6"... But been catching alot of quality fish in the 3-6lb range with my savage gear line thru... Sorry bout that one
  2. Thanks guys im pretty sure the fish is around 7-8lbs too, but i hear a few guys saying it's close to a DD. An the bait was a savage gear line thru swimbait. Highly recommend it!
  3. Was lucky enough to hook into this big gal throwing a 8" line thru soft trout bait. Only problem is i didn't weigh her. Curious to see what others think it weighs? Thanks bassresource
  4. Hit a south shore pond an caught two nice fish plus a few 2-3lbs. Was pumped to say the least!
  5. I like spinnerbaits for covering open water and bladed jigs for fishing around cover/structure. They say throw bladed jigs in dirty water but, i feel as they work in any water clarity. Honestly i'd rather use bladed jigs over spinnerbaits nowadays. They are alot more verstile IMO. You can fish the whole water column and can fish them excatly like a jig with a extra action. Can fish em fast or dead slow. So many different retrieves once you fish it for a decent time an get the hang of em. Also like how you can throw a craw trailer and hop it off the bottom or fish it like a spinnerbait with a swimbait trailer. Thats just keeping it simple too... Many combinations out there.
  6. I like most of the SK colors for the KVD cant go wrong with the shad colors and bluegill/perch. Even the craw colors get em. I was throwing the sexy ghost minnow. Guess it really comes downs to water clarity.
  7. Fished a south shore smaller pond an caught around 13 bass and a bunch of pickerel between yesterday and today. Just about all of them caught on a kvd 2.5 and a few on a chatterbait. Landed two largies over 3lb and some monster picks. The bites starting up
  8. Nothing too crazy but, theres this small pond near my house that is probably only 3-4 acres big and has produced multiple 4-5s and a 6-12lb lunker. I've caught and released the 6lb three times and hooked a fourth! Shes one mean fish and not shy as I've seen her multiple times chasing lures. Phooey to those who say C@R don't work. As for the pond it's a giant muck hole that gets atleast 20ft+. It's literally a hole with no structure and just lilypads on the edges around the whole thing.
  9. Not so much my first fish cause my dad took me fishing VERY early, then for years i gave it up and never fished. About 4-5 years ago i picked it up again and landed my first real lunker the first 3 or so months at it again and never looked back. Still remember the feeling
  10. Woulden't call it the best but, MASS has some great fishing. Find the right places and they can contend with alot of other places. Especially living in the south shore cape area. So many ponds to fish!
  11. Depends sometimes.. Regardless of what i listen to it's awesome when your listenin to one of your favorite songs and and you hook up right at a good part. lol it's movie worthy when it happens
  12. Depends on fishing pressure for me... I got some ponds under 80acres around me with some big bass, but they get hammerd so it's sorta accomplishing when you do hook into a big one
  13. another mass basser. welcome!
