  1. jbsoonerfan I made the Open back then too. I only live 15 minutes from the BOK center and about an hour from Grand Lake. I can't wait!
  2. You're welcome. I was really impressed that he even replied. I have trouble with my lower back and shoulders. I plan on starting it this week. Let me know how you like it.
  3. I contacted Brent Chapman thru Facebook. B.A.S.S. did a story on him after he won AOY. He stated in there that he was suffering on the water with the minor aches and pains. I shot him a PM and he replied with this article. I know it is kind of off topic but I plan on doing these this off season.
  4. I have 2 St. Croix Mojos. One is the 7'4" and the other is the 7'8" model. The shorter one works well with my small to medium divers. The longer one for larger medium divers to the large divers. I pair the 7'4" with a BPS pro qualifier 7:1 and the 7'8" with the same reel in 5:1.
  5. Throw a weightless soft plastic or use a very small weight with it.
  6. My guess it was sunny correct? If so the shallow water warms quicker around stumps and rock etc. If the conditions are the same again tomorrow I'd go back and they should be shallow again. Whether the same bait works you'll never know until you try it again!
  7. I wish I would have seen this thread before Friday. I spent 3 hours at a pond. I tried a Luck-E-Strike square bill and a 5" magnum worm. No luck. It was mid 50's and a slight breeze. A cold front came through Wednesday causing the morning temps to drop quite a bit. I have never had any confidence in senkos. I went to Bass Pro today and picked up some senkos. They didn't have any fat Ika's. I'll give this a shot next time out!
  8. Braid can last up to 4 years. Depending on what type abuse you put it thru. I usually change mine after 3 years or so. As far as the mono I hardly use it anymore. With all of my line regardless of what kind I keep it in my house in a dark drawer. I believe temperature and sunlight plays a major factor in line failure.
  9. I just sent Megastrike an email. I sure hope they are at the Classic in February!
  10. I put 3 hours on the water today. No fish but hey at least I got to go! Sunny mid 50's slight breeze.
  11. Owasso. Yeah they are building parking lots and all sorts of stuff. I haven't been up there to see but they say construction is right on schedule. An FLW main event is coming to the same launch area June 6-9. It will be a tournament mecca now!
  12. Give Luck E strike square bills a shot. My largest bass this year has come off the 1.0
  13. Try a Zoom 5" magnum worm in pumpkin seed. 3/0 EWG and a 1/4 oz bullet. Dip the fat part of the tail in spike it and hold on. :-)
  14. That was the basic reasoning behind Rapala coming out with Ike's colors to the DT series.
  15. Ya can't go wrong with a 5" magnum Zoom worm In pumpkin. It is a thick compact bait that works anytime of the year. Rig it on a 3/0 EWG and use a 1/4 tungsten bullet sinker. My secret is to use spike it just on the tail. You'll hook some good ones!
  16. Thank you for your service!
  17. Awesome. If you need any recommendations on anything just ask on here on PM me. I have lived in this area my whole life.
  18. You aren't that far Goose21! I have to say it is a dream come true that the Classic is in my backyard. I have dreamed of making the trip to other Classic's but it just didn't work out. I look to volunteer through the B.A.S.S. nation. A member of our club is on the board to help to recruit volunteer's from the community. I will be taking off from work to attend everything I can. I am counting down the days!
  19. @Long Mike- In the big town of Owasso! @ OAKLEY PITBULL- Yes he did! My father and I have season tickets. I remember his first touchdown as a Sooner. It was a 20+ yard toss sweep straight at us. GOOD TIMES! Thanks for welcoming me!
  20. Is anyone making the trip to Oklahoma for the Classic?
  21. Great products! I'll be purchasing some this next year!
  22. Hey guys and gals. I'm new to the forum. A big Sooner fan. I just started tournament fishing this last year as a co-angler. I started bass fishing at 14 and I'm now 36. I did pretty well this last year. Two 3rd place finishes and big bass in one of those. I look forward to learning more about tournament fishing. If ya have questions, fire away!
