hello from beacon falls (new haven county) and your right we need to represent for connecticut the south represents so lets let them know we have some sticks out here too. so i fish mainly from shore except when i fish tournaments as a co and ive fished almost every inch of this state from big lakes to small unknown ponds and reservoirs which are my favorites because ive caught my biggest bass all alone in these beautiful little spots. i just wanted to chime in and represent for our state. biggest largie 8.2lbs and biggest smallie about 3 1/2 thanks and good luck this year fellas.

thanks for the warm welcome and as far as what you asked bmac i fish from shore mostly except when i fish tourneys as a co but ive fished as far north as the mass boarder theres a beautiful reservoir uo there but the name is escaping me right now and ive fished way out east near colchester and i also fish small ponds and reservoirs locally i just love getting out and seeing new places. yra maybe once the water thaws we can hit up some spots i could have a ton of time on my hands but if i end up fishing the 2 trails that im hoping to i might have no time but we'll keep in touch on here. and again thanks for the family like welcome everyone

hi my name is joe and i live up in beacon falls connecticut. right now the waters frozen and im itching to get back on the water but while im waiting ill tell you a little about myself. i started fishing as a kid with minimal tackle and did it for fun with friends but after catching that first bass it became more then that and i started fishing more and more but eventually came my teenage year and fishing was replaced with parties and girls but years later came the birth of my beautiful little girl and the party scene had to go so i was in serch of a hobby, so i went fishing one day and it all came back to me and next thing i knew i was spending thousands of dollars on new tackle and reading every article i can get my hands on including bass resource and as my passion was reignited for bass fishing i joined a local club and started fishing tournaments . so now im a happy bass fishing father and couldnt be happier with the path ive chosen. thank you for accepting me into your community and hope to learn even more from everyone here. thanks again joe

Just wondering if anyone heard of this tournament that I read about but forgot where to find the info on. I read that it use to be around for a few years then it stopped for awhile but is coming back for 2014 where you send them money and they send you they're certified measuring device and you go anywhere you want that's legal to fish and then take pics of your fish in the measuring device and send them in to there site and you can win tackle and money for participating? If anyone can help i would be extreamly thankful. Joe
