yea i don't think there's much you can do, but if it makes you feel any better... ...I once caught a bass that only had one eye and clearly he was still able to hunt! I once watched LgMouthGambler hook a small snakehead on a top water frog with a dual hook, both hook ends went through both eyes, the fish went back in the water blind. i felt bad, but that's just the way it is...

my new strategy is to hit a spot, and start whining and moaning sooo much that the fish will pity me so much they'll hook themselves what's wrong with the weather Lou? afraid of little thunder storms are you? man the other day it was blasting hard around Coral Springs, I was glad to be indoors LOL

Lou I swear I had a 25 incher on the line yesterday but he snapped my line while going under a metal pipe! HUGE I tell you, HUGE!!! Also had few really aggressive bites while checking out few canals on foot around my house, so I think I'll do fine posting 20+" fish

went you today. hooked a HUGE one around a canal's end near a pipe, and of course he went under the connecting pipe and the 14lbs line went snap! hooked and pulled out 10-12 (I lost count) smaller ones from 13-16", nothing worth posting here (unless i get a 20"+ bass I'm not posting ) but the bite was definitely on!

well well well, looks like it MIGHT be picking up some already... i went out yesterday for an hour and a half and nailed 4 and missed few bites too... this is more than any other day in the last few months. let's hope the trend continues!

if you see the bass hit the frog and it's still there, DO NOTHING. it may come back in few seconds to ****** it. i've watched my friend work a little frog, bass made a big splash and the frog was still there. 5 seconds later the water exploded and he pulled a 5lbs pig!

there isn't much else in the canals that's fun (i'm tired of snakeheads) and I'm not a big fun of ocean fishing... so what's there to catch in coral springs ?

It's been so slow down here since late May, I wonder when will it pick up again? This is my first summer in FL fishing for bass and I'm getting super frustrated From your experience, when can I expect things to get better? I was catching pigs till about end of April, then dinks the entire May / June, then it almost dropped off to nothing... but for how long???

Norther Snakeheads you're catching up north HAVE GILLS sir FL ones do too, and they also hang out in shallow water, but when I hook one they dive.
