  1. I fish mainly basstrix and some customs that my buddy pours. 6" almost exclusively. On 1/8-1/2 oz jigheads with open hook.
  2. That 2 legged wood frog goes for about 350 with the box, and guess who has the box???? Lol
  3. Scored all this helping clean out a garage last December
  4. I was born and raised about 20 miles from where the fnf was invented. To fish the fnf the way it was originally designed you fish an ultra lite 8-10 ft rod with around 4lb mono or floro. Usually start the bobber off around 10 ft and go more or less depending upon where the fish are. I've fished it as deep as 22 and let me tell ya it's a fun job to try and cast that contraption. There are a lot of good videos online about the technique and I'll be the first to admit it catches some monster smallmouth. Check out punisher lures, they brought the technique to the mainstream.
  5. I'm a big fan of Hoppys and Hawg Callers for regular spinnerbaits. For a night time blade I like some that are made here locally in southwest va by Neal's custom lures.
  6. Fished a tourney on south Holston last Saturday. Ended up 4th out of 13 boats with 6.5lb. Can't weigh dead fish and lost one that we fizzed and it bled like a stuck pig that was 3, had one pop off hook right at boat, and snapped a monster off. Took 16.8 to win, but had a blast out there trying. Vertical fishing right under nose of boat about 30 ft. Here's a couple pics. And this is what a lit up depthfinder looks like when you get a school fired up.
  7. I've got a 6'4" team Diawa Mike Iaconelli jerkbait rod paired with a 7:1 bass pro extreme reel. Love this combo for jerkbaits and topwater fishing.
  8. Love my save phace mask. Very secure, does have a tendency to fog up every once in a while, but doesn't do it very much.
  9. South fork Holston river just outside of Bristol TN
  10. Welcome. What part of east tn? I'm in Bristol.
  11. 3" dimiki armor shad on 1/8 oz jig head fished straight under the boat using electronics.
  12. Yeah, on the wallet!!!!!
  13. Looks good.
  14. Never seen a bad product from Megabass. Love the jerkbaits, but I can fish with and lose 2 pointers for every one of those, had a buddy lose 4 megabass to stripers in the same day last year. That anthrax is a wicked looking bait though, never seen anything else that looks like that.
  15. Unlike a lot of people, I fish the river with the exact same equipment that I fish the lake with and catch more than my fair share. Get a lot of fish on everything from a spinning rod tx rig or shakey head a finesse worm on 6lb line all the way to throwing big swimbaits on a 8' heavy action rod with 65lb braid and everything in between. I love river fishing, it's why I work at the place I work because I can be on the holston river in Kingsport TN in 2 miles and go on my lunchbreak.
  16. Orignal Beaver and Smallie Beaver in sprayed grass color.
  17. And this one's not mine, but biggest smallie I've ever laid eyes on 8lb 10oz.
  18. Here's a bunch of 4 and 5 lbers And my personal best 6+
  19. Well, this was also in NE TN on what most people refer to as Dale hollow junior. South Holston is a fishery all it's own, but does have many similar traits to DH. Ever fish a damiki down there on DH? Takes an 1/8 Oz lead head close to a minute to fall that far.
  20. I have a tournament this coming Saturday and have done some practicing over the last 2 weeks. I have found something very strange and was wondering if anyone would have an insight into why the fish may be doing this. Water temps are 60 degrees, deep clear highland resivoir, catching smallies in 90 ft of water. Any idea in the fall why they are that deep?
  21. Hey everyone, name is Chris and I'm a fishaholic. Smallmouth seem to be my prey of choice. Live in Bristol TN and enjoy our deep clear lakes in this area.
