  1. U.S. Coast Guard 2015- present. Tight lines
  2. It could be your shifter. On mine you can bring it to neutral and occasionally it will come to like a half in half out of gear and it clicks like your talking about. The prop should not spin on its own when its in neutral. That could be very bad if someone or something in the water gets too close to the lower unit. Tight lines Andrew
  3. United States Coast Guard. Can pretty much guarantee you time on the water it just won't be fishing haha. Pay is pretty good and its a pretty fun job. Tight lines Andrew
  4. Neither will I he was my partner last year while I was still in school.
  5. I say definitely go for it. I fished with my highschool team all the way until I graduated and then went Active duty instead of college. its the only regret I have so far is not being able to experience that, while my competitor/good friend/partner is tearing it up at his school. enjoy it I say. I sure wish I could tight lines Andrew
  6. Bananas in the boat. Net stays in the locker until needed and then immediately put back and always make the first cast not able to catch a fish. Tight lines Andrew
  7. I will second the braid to whatever non braided line you wish to use. the versatility you have is unmatched even my cranking setups have braid mainlines with a mono leader braid always seems to cast better for me and being able to cast a good ways is huge in clear water. tight lines Andrew
  8. I'm very sad to report that because of my career (USCG) I missed an awesome spring on Lake Anna. I left about midway through the prespawn before the Elite 70 event that was held there. shout out to the guy who got me into this wonderful sport and won the event with an awesome 24 pound bag. Anyway i'm happy to say I will be back on the water soon and was wondering what the lake seems to be doing right now. Water temps, reports, water clarity, anything that your willing to share that would help me piece together a game plan for when I do finally make it out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tight lines Andrew
  9. I Absolutely love mine is a must at 65 mph in the middle of winter Tight lines ' Andrew
  10. I have the exact stick that you are talking about and find that it loads really well between 11/2 and 2 oz. I can sling an A-rig a good ways with it and it also doubles as my swimbait stick. tight lines Andrew
  11. I turned 5800 with 2 people and water in the wells. I have to have water in it for it to balance out.
  12. Which marina are you at in the bottom picture? High point?
  13. I don't want to turn any higher rpms than what I am currently if I set it at 3 1/2 I will turn right around 6000 which is too much. Water pressure is not an issue right now as its rather high. I know if I go up in prop my rpms will drop I know that which will counteract my raising of the motor. therefore keeping my rpms at a safe level. in theory. tight lines Andrew
  14. So I have a 1999 Stratos 273 vindicator. I just repowered this July with a new Yamaha HPDI 150. I added a jackplate and started with a 23 pitch trophy 4 blade and then moved up to a 25 pitch 3 blade my jackplate set at 3 3/4 below pad. I ran 67.1 mph on gps at 5800 rpm my water pressure is still at 26psi and I want to keep going up should I go to a 26 pitch or even bigger? thanks in advance tight lines Andrew
