They are not releasing the location of the fish just yet, but it was caught in one of the dams on the West Rand apparently. How's the fishing at Emmerentia these days Minnow??

Howzit Sam. As far as plastics go we seem to very much go through phases... but never straying too far from anything resembling Watermelon or Pumpkinseed.. Weather it be Watermelon magic (rainbow coloured glitter flecks) or Pumpkinseed pepper (really hot colour at the moment). If I get some time maybe I'll post a few pics of a few plastics we get here and what we call them. We've got a local manufacturer called Trima who really seems to be on top of their game though... I'd really like to show you these if I get a chance. What colours do you tend to fish?

Hi All Firstly.... GREAT forum!!! The people and their willingness to share their knowledge is truly spectacular. I'm glad to finally be a part of it. My name is Scott Murray (everyone calls me Scotty). And I'm a 23 year old honours student studying in Johannesburg, South Africa. I grew up tigerfishing with my family since I was 8 and about 2 years ago my (Zimbawean) girlfriend introduced me to bass fishing and I have most definitely had that green monster on my back ever since. I don't have a favourite fishing style or place just yet, I'm still too busy trying to absorb as much as I can and get out onto as many different waters as I can. Anyway, I look forward to gettining to know all of you through the forum and hopefully one day even on the water (I have family on the West Coast).
