  1. Nice,i live in north canton. Do you do alot of tournements around here?
  2. You have to think though. They can’t tell you everything they do because they don’t want there competitors knowing every in and out on how to fish a certain bait in the condition. Another thing you have to think of is they change the baits and how they use them for the conditions they are fishing. A lot of guys change the line they use or hooks to get the bait to go deeper or shallower ect. A lot of them also have multiple colors of sharpies or something to mark the bait with to change the color. Its all about the conditions and what time of year and what they need the lure to do in that certain tournament they are fishing. If you watch kvd’s bass pro shops shows he tells you when were how to fish the certain lure and he also tells you a lot of it is experimenting. Every time you go out on the water it is different. Its our job as fishermen to figure it out. I remember watching one of his episodes he couldn’t get the fish to bite on his spinner bait and he just knew that it was the right conditions to fish it. He added a red trailer hook to it and it was lights out. They all modify there baits. If you watch the tournaments after there done they also interview the pro on line and they almost always do something to slightly change the way the lure looks or performs.
  3. Wish i would have saw this a couple days ago. I have been playing for a couple years now it's pretty fun. Lockhart i see your from Ohio and have an Akron hat in your pic. Do you fish alot around here?
  4. I went in my dad’s tackle box a couple weeks ago and pulled out probably a fifteen year old crank bait and slammed them. Hope your back gets better so you can get out more.
  5. Haha, that was funny. There is some good imput here. I did not know that the core water temp stays at 39.
  6. Were you at from Ohio? I’m for the Canton area.
  7. Ok thanks, Glenn
  8. This might have already been brought up but I didn’t see it. Is there a way to watch the videos on this site not in hd. For some reason some of the longer videos that are 10 maybe 20 minutes long lag on my computer. Probably because my computer sucks lol. I didn’t see any way of turning hd off or an option to watch it in a lower quality. There was a couple longer videos I wanted to watch and I can’t lol. Thanks
  9. I will defiantly consider different line, re tying more often and line conditioner I am sold on the rood though because I got the rod specifically for crank baits. I love the rood because I can feel everything from the crank bait moving back and forth to it bouncing off of things and when you get that little strike. I think it could be because I don’t re tie if I don’t get a fish for a while. I didn’t really think much of winging it out there repeatedly would wear the line down, it definitely make sense though. Thanks
  10. Alright thanks a lot guys. I am new to this website and I am really happy with it lol. Didn’t think I would get so many people here to help. Thanks
  11. I use the Palomar knot. What other line should I try? I think I have only used Berkley trilene and vicious.
  12. Alright, thanks for the suggestions guys. I do not use line conditioner I need to look into that. Hopefully it’s not the guides because I love the rod.
  13. Thanks for the help. I check for abrasions and I don’t think that’s it. If the guides aren’t bad then the only thing I can think of is it might be the line before the knot. Would this be because the line is fraying when I am tying the knot?
  14. I am having trouble with my line snapping when I wing crank baits out there. I can’t figure out why it is breaking. I don’t think it is breaking at the knot or the line because I can swing three four pound fish no problem. I use 10 pound vicious fluorocarbon with a Abu Garcia Veritas rod and a Quantum Titanium gsx 7.0:1 ratio reel. I am not to sure about the reel but I love the rod and line. Is it common for the line to snap from time to time when u huck crank baits out there? It has happened a couple times this year and I have no idea why. Thanks
  15. Haha thanks,There is one problem fishing won't go away lol. I have watched a lot of your videos love them, keep them coming.
