  1. Good. I'm going back today to see if I can get any fish on a crank.
  2. so do I have the right weight on this one?
  3. I'm the same way. I have ADD and it really wrecks my finesse fishing I listen to music sometimes to pass the time and/or drink soda to concentrate.
  4. A senko. Lol.
  5. Thanks guys. This is my second fish in the 5-6 pound range. Now for a 10........
  6. I went to the pond this morning and about 30 minutes into the session, I landed this brute on a lipless crank! Sexy shad rocks! What a rush!
  7. what? I never insulted anyone! O.O
  8. I usually have two types of shaky rigs I use: finesse and power finesse. My finesse setup is either a berkley finesse worm or a 6" roboworm, on a 3/16 oz jig with a 2/0 hook. My power setup is a rage tail thumper worm or a gene larew salt flick'r with the claws cut off, with a 1/4-1/2 oz jig with a 4/0 hook.
  9. I see what you mean. I guess its a bit like any other hobby that way.
  10. Why the heck are those roman made mother swimbaits $385?!!!! I mean I get that they are high quality but that just a LITTLE BIT overkill, don't you think? You can get a triple trout or huddleston for waaaaaayyyy less.
  11. Hmmmmm only a 3. hook that kid up with a 6" huddleston weedless trout, that's how I caught this one. I love that bait so much. I have it in baby bass and yellow perch.
  12. Thanks for all the replies guys! I was hoping it would be bigger but there's a catch..........that was 2 years ago, when I was 13. I'm hoping its still in there. it might be 7+ by now with all the bluegill in there. And I was a good 8" shorter then. I was about 4' 11" as of the time of that picture.
  13. Thank. I do have a pack of green pumpkin rage chunks and a pack of orange/brown rage craws. As for line........I'm using 14 pound nanofil. I can switch over to 20 pound powerpro if necessary. And I only have one pole. Its a 6' berkley lightning rod and its mh with a m action I believe. My reel is a daiwa takara.
  14. id put that one at about 5-6 pounds. ^
  15. What's about right? 8 pounds? I hope you don't think its only a 5 pounder....no way.
  16. Here is my pb, I think it was 8+ pounds but I didn't weigh it at the time. If you can guess what it weighs I would really appreciate it. I'm hoping its 10 pounds but I don't have enough experience to judge.
  17. My dad won't take me to dick's before we leave so I'm stuck with my current stuff.
  18. Yeah I know I just don't really use certain baits because all I fish is small, grassy ponds. I never use spinnerbaits, topwaters, jigs, or deep cranks.
  19. Thanks for all the replies guys! BassmanDan: I dont have a black and blue jig, I only have orange/brown and yellow/brown do you think those would work?
  20. Hey everyone, so I'm going down to my cousin's house in charlotte, NC for this week, and there is a nice pond there that I want to fish. Its got a sandy/rocky bottom with some wood cover, and the last time I was there I wasn't fishing for bass, just carp and bluegill. (There are a TON of carp.) So with it being the middle of november and the bite slowing down fast, I could use a couple of tips on presentations. I know that slow rolling a swimbait works for early fall, but I'm not very familiar with winter fishing. If you guys have any tips I would really appreciate it. -Cullen
  21. Going out today at a farm pond I have not fished in a year. Last time I checked it had several 8 pounders and like twenty dinks, and hundreds of bluegill. I'm going to try slow rolling a swimbait.
  22. Thanks for the suggestion, ill shoot them an email. EDIT: I didn't find an email, ill call them tommorow. Cullen
  23. Thanks, that makes sense.
  24. I have recently noticed that some of the bass I catch out of the potomac have orange-tinted mouths. Any idea as to what this means? Are they eating craws?
  25. What's with the lump on the peacock's head?
