  1. I visit Bass RESOURCE from my phone. It works just fine.
  2. Count me in for next time. I have a secret pond with a 7 in it. just gotta get her on an artificial. Got her 3 years ago on a live bluegill and she went 5-14.
  3. Here's the new Revo Rocket 9.1 from Abu. Looks pretty much like a Premier with new paint and a revamped gearbox. Should be pretty sick for flipping and other applications where you need to take line up quickly.
  4. now THAT is one sexy piece of machinery. Better start saving......
  5. don't know what you think a mojo rig is but it would be 99% impossible to catch more than one fish at a time on it. Its a single hook with a pegged weight 12-16" up the line.
  6. Man that looks killer!
  7. Pinch the curl-tails off, and T-rig it backwards with a little nail weight in the butt end. It'll shoot under docks and cover. Deadly.
  8. drag? What's drag? Jk. I am using 50lb braid, I use it for frogging, punching, and spinnerbaits. I do loosen the drag quite a bit when using spinnerbaits but not for the other two.
  9. here ya go. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12981-how-do-i-remove-a-hook-a-bass-has-swallowed/page-2
  10. Call me crazy, but I actually use a 1/0 circle hook for wacky rigging. I set the hook normally and they are usually hooked pretty good in the corner of the mouth and they don't get off.
  11. Zoom makes a 4" lizard.
  12. I also just heard from them. I am happy to announce that I am getting a new rod for just the $9.95 shipping fee. Thank you all so much for your help!
  13. Those look great, but I would trim the skirt a bit past the hook bend instead of having it so long.
  14. set your drag
  15. nope. If you rig your bait right its not going to twist. I guess you could if you wanted to.
  16. What kind of cover? If it's grass I wouldn't go over an 1/8 because anything heavier will dig into the grass. If its rocks you could get away with a 1/4 oz but I wouldn't go any bigger than that.
  17. First of all, 3/8, 1/4, and 3/16 are not small. 1/24 is small. A 1/24 weight wIll sink your bait agonizingly slow, but that is what you need sometimes. A 1/16 is good for most scenarios from 1 to 10 feet deep. If it is 10 to 15 feet deep I go to an 1/8 or 3/16 if its windy. The lighter the weight, the more bites you will get from highly pressured fish4 There are 2 types of finesse carolina rigs- the split shot rig, and the mojo rig. The split shot rig is self explanatory, and the mojo rig consists of a long, skinny "mojo" weight pegged to your line. Both of these rigs should be dragged a few inches along the bottom, and pause for a few seconds at a time to let the bait settle. I like to use 4-6" finesse worms and small tubes with this rig. Ideally, you want something that glides back and forth behind the weight. Here is Glenn's Mojo Rig video.
  18. weedless finesse widegap in 3/0.
  19. Another vote for the weedless finesse widegap. Don't get the K-hook style. Idk what it is about those hooks but I lose 90% of the fish I hook with those and miss countless more. The ones I do get are barely hooked.
  20. Mann's makes one called the super frog. No idea if it is the same thing but it's worth a look. Tackle warehouse has it. Also, I think you will find that a modern, high quality frog like a spro or livetarget catches more fish, has better hookups, floats better, walks better, and lasts longer.
  21. whoa, I put 10? Man I was tired last night. Excuse the typo, I mean to put 20. Edited my post. I caught way more than 10!
  22. I would love to see 3 colors in the black series lineup. 1: Brown Rubber/Blue Craw Silicone 2: Brown Rubber/Watermelon Candy Silicone (purple & green flake, basically a sprayed grass color.) 3. Black Rubber/Chartreuse Silicone (great for muddy water.)
  23. Depends on a type of swimbait. If it has a molded in jig hook like a huddleston, I set straight up. if it is a line through with a treble hook, I set sideways. If it is a weedless swimbait with a molded in hook, I set straight up as well, and the same goes for swimbaits rigged with an EWG or weighted hook.
  24. A few years ago I had a small firetiger crank made by blue fox. It came in a small kit from walmart. I don't have a picture but it was about 2.5" long and skinny, but it had a fat little belly. Nice tight wobble and dove to about 3 feet. Does anyone know anything about this lure and is it still available? I caught so many bluegill, LMB, and my first SMB, which to this day is my only smallie.
  25. at least they replied to you! I have had a few companies completely ignore my emails.
