  1. The buzzbait you are showing has an unusual swing head. I have never used one like that. The one piece buzzbait is incredibly snag resistant . I throw them in wood confidently, even jump logs with them. I reel them as close to cover as possible and try not to set the hook until the fish is felt. Thats not always easy to do. Yeah , I usually retrieve it slow and steady with little pauses and jerks thrown in.
  2. yes.
  3. If you spool your reels and there is a lot of twist, simply walk all the line off in the grass then wind it back in. That will remove the twist.
  4. I think it helps level the playing field. Not so much of an arms race. The elites have families to take care of just like the rest of us and none of them wants to spend tens of thousands of dollars to keep up with the rest. I wager that most of them are happy with this rule change.
  5. I lose a lot of fish on neds and havent figured out why. When I switch to a tube I land them.
  6. When I visit an Ozark lake I use the brown and orange critter craw. The crawdads down there have bright orange pincers.
  7. I havent used a lot of the newer craws. Of the old ones I have used number one is the Larew. The Guido bug caught a lot of bass for me and the Riverside Big Claw. I still have some Big Claws. Hula Grubs , I think, fool bass into thinking crawdad.
  8. Tubes. They just catch fish , thats all they do.
  9. Snagged Turtle Bass wrapped up in brush. I get bass wrapped up in brush often and they are almost impossible to get out. Some times the hook penetrating the basses mouth catches on the snags.
  10. Were going to need more info to help with this puzzle.
  11. Dont forget the buzzbait. Incredibly snag resistant.
  12. My first thought is if your equipment is up to the task? I get a pretty high landing ratio with them . I use a 7 foot hvy action baitcast combo.
  13. I do to.
  14. Those eels are probably getting a little stiff.
  15. Not only will I switch, I might even take his.
  16. Fire Tiger is a good choice too.
  17. I wonder what bird that is? Some kind of wading shore bird?
  18. I keep skirts in plastic sleeves made for fire extinguisher tags.
  19. I saw a great Blue heron wolf down a decent sized bass, easily.
  20. Time to sharpen the fillet knife.
  21. I'm off the Yum Dinger kick for the time being, too much line twist used as a Texas rig. Now I'm on the Strike King Cut R worm wagon and I'm bringing June Bug and Plum.
  22. I have been learning an unfamiliar lake, finding spots , catching fish and having fun . Just havent caught anything huge. Been in a big fish slump.
  23. I've been doing it , poorly . Not very accurate and a lot of loops. When I do get a good one its cool. Chatterbaits are pretty good for overhanging trees.
  24. My Drain the Lake picks were much better. I finished at 96.8.
