  1. Over my head.?
  2. I target places where think big bass may be at . I dont necessarily target them though. I lost a giant yesterday on a small crankbait .Got caught up in a tree. Second time thats happened this year. I might try again tomorrow.
  3. I use a parasite clip and rig a Dinger in the middle . After a fish I then rig it on the side. After another fish I rig it on the other side. After another fish I bite it in half and use it as a Ned. After another fish I bite it down and use it as a mini Ned. If things go right I get six fish with a Dinger.
  4. Use giant lures , catch a few fish with an occasional big one or use smaller lures, catch a lot fish and an occasional big one.
  5. When the fishing is tough two of my favorites is a Texas rig in the thickest cover available and various small jigs , neds, small swimbaits... on rip rap .
  6. I like the punchbaits. They stay on the hook even in current. Danny King might be the best.
  7. I never seen those either. Which end do you tie to, fat or narrow?
  8. His show was the highlight of My Sundays growing up . Every time he demonstrated the lures in the aquarium he would lift and drop it . So I emulated him and been lifting and dropping ever since. He influenced my fishing style more than anyone and I still know his theme song word for word.
  9. Champlain roster in A Cobb B Robertson C Felix D Zaldain E Kuphall
  10. I've been looking into getting some too . The only place around here that can acquire them was going to charge 500 dollars for the lens only . I said no thank you . The Wal Mart here cannot get them . Mobasser has a pair.
  11. Any time the weather is comfortable. I like the summer on mild days. The fishing in summer, for me , is predictable. Just cant hack temperature's over 90 degrees.
  12. I only have one fishing today. Cooper Gallant . Three tourneys ago I was sitting at 92% I have dropped to 75% in just two events.
  13. Crankbaits are hot and cold for me . The last couple of years cold . I still carry way to many.
  14. There are two nearby lakes I have fished a lot. Similar in size, depth , clarity and cover. They fish differently . The only way to know is get out and fish.
  15. Anyway the same exact lure went by Storm Big Bass and Rapala Crankin Rap.
  16. Storm was purchased by the same co. that owns Rapala and they were rebranded as Rapala Crankin Raps.
  17. Once I used the large sized in red craw at night and caught two lunkers off a point.
  18. I imagine 75% of the time I am pitching . For you guys pitching less then 1/4oz. , what equipment are you using? Rod, reel, line.
  19. I'm the same age and havent noticed my reaction time slowing down but my hands dont seem as sensitive, harder to feel those light taps.
  20. The Rapala Crankin Rap . Those baits were made by Strom first, they were called Big Bass Crankbaits . They have been very good baits for me. The rear hook hanger isnt attached to the back, it hangs off the bottom just like the Wiggle Warts.
  21. All lures work . Bass like to hang around stuff . So find some cover and choose lures that will fish it effectively . Texas rigs work well most places . Its hard to beat a ned or other small jig around rip rap dams. I fish a slot limit lakes often and can almost always manage a limit of bass for the table, under the slot fishing the dam with neds . The Google Earth picture of your lake shows a huge rip rap dam.
  22. I use 1/4 or 5/16 most of the time. I cant pitch effectively with anything lighter.
  23. Cover shot was mentioned several times, I'll look for that one
  24. I go through the middle of a Dinger until a hole gets ripped I then side skin . The problem I have with that is extreme line twist . After a few cast I switch to the other side to untwist it.
