I want opinions on this reel from people that own one . I currently have a lews tp and chronarch ci4. Just looking to get something else to add to another rod. Probably will be used as an all around setup thanks for any input
I am not a fan of the acs braking system (it only has 4 adjustments in the smoke100) with that being said, i use the smoke for my frog rod. the thing cast a mile long. Its a little more difficult to dial in for weightless senkos for my untrained thumb lol but a good reel all around
Thanks hootie. i was mixing and matching my combos yesterday, to find out what will work the best, and as a side reference I had the shimano on my veritas 6'6 mh micro and it was slightly tip heavy.
Just wanted to share with you guys who have bought the chronarch ci4 and are unsure which rod to pair it up with. The balance with this combo is near perfect. This is nothing more than a reference if you are looking for a 100$ rod to pair with the chronarch
diawa tatula will most likely cast the farthest- all are great buys under 200 i like the lew's tournament pro
*i do not own the tatula just hear say from what everyone is saying on here
Go with the Tour pro. I know the bb1 pro has a deep spool and is probably heavier (spool) so lighter lures are probably not the best best for this reel I have a tour pro and love it. Weightless worms are throws all day on it paired with a medium action *** rod.
When do you guys put on new line before the spring season? a few months before? a month? a week? the day of? does memory have a factor in your decision?
