I'll second Steve Daniel, easily one of the best on the lake, Steve and his Wife Deb are also Top Shelf people. Pay for a day, you won't regret it. Brian.
I think the Guys who say stuff like that are trying to be the lake Guru to the people at the ramp. I guess some are impressed by it while most know they're FOS. Brian.
I told my daughters if this boredom don't subside I'm going to start fishing in your aquarium. They said that's fine, you throw em all back anyway. Brian.
Big Bear Rods, you can get micros, spiral wrap, any rod length, any handle length, great blanks, wrap color, etc., all for less than most higher end rods. Call Rob up and have a talk, you won't regret it. Brian.
I've used a variety of the 10' plastic boats. I just put an Uncle Buck's from BPS together at the start of the year and couldn't be more pleased. 55lb. thrust Endura, Sonar/DI, and 4" seat heigth extentions, very stable and I can easily load and unload by myself. Brian.
I've used them and they don't seem to rip GY Senkos up as bad as other hooks. They are not Tru-Turns, but consistent in that design. One of my friends uses them exclusively. Brian.
Whatever you do....do not 'settle'.
I know how hard it can be but if you have to wait for the boat you want then wait.
Don't settle on anything if you can help it.....it is a breeding ground for disappointment or discontent!
Good luck.
Chris
Best advice I've heard in a long time. Smart man here, you should listen to what he says. Brian.
Piranha 197c DI, less than $150. No reason to put a boat in the water and be blind. I have a Sonar/DI on my Uncle Bucks and wish I would have went with a GPS/Chartplotter, I could save spots. Brian.
Go to Florida. I'd be there now but the Wife is doing a complete overhaul of the entire bottom floor....lousy Wife. Can't gripe though, she spends a lot of time being a fishing widow, she has never complained once. Brian.
