  1. Great answer. I'd get a Zodias for the simple reason, I'm in the minority, I hate Cork. Brian.
  2. Amen. Brian.
  3. I set a goal of 200 Bass a week. Some weeks are under, some close and when we go a few days for Smallies way over. I hang a push button counter on my side and just push it every time I land one. Brian.
  4. Not sure what spool the Tourney MB uses, but some are interchangeable with ABU Reels. Check Hedgehog Studios for BFS Spools for the ABU and check if they'll work. Brian.
  5. Sweet!!!! Brian.
  6. I use each for their intended purpose, they are 3 different baits. I would throw them in some of the same areas, but they're 3 different baits. Brian.
  7. Tim Hoover, of Backroom Baits, has 6 of them on the boat at all times. He takes a ribbing from the guys fishing with him using their JDM gear. But they work day in and day out, 250+ days a year, 50+ fish a day. Brian.
  8. Define Greatly Improve, as in exact distance over a flushed and reoiled factory bearing? Brian.
  9. It is tremendously low right now. Anywhere from the Susquehanna up should be doable. Why not wade the Susky. Check the campground out in Duncannon. Brian.
  10. You need to FEEL the fish. You can give them all the time you want, but if they don't have it you're not going to hook up. As Lou said, Braid is were it's at for Frogs. Brian.
  11. The Sustain is USDM, the 2500 & 3000 weigh in at 8.3oz., while the CI4+ 2500 weighs in at 6.8 while the 3000 is at 7.0 oz.. The Complex is a JDM and I have them on 6'8"-7'6" and the balance has never bothered me, can't remember the reel weight offhand. The Cumara 6'8" MH/Ext. Fast w/the Complex are joys to fish with, spooled the combo weighs in at 8.5oz.'s. Brian.
  12. Sustain should move the balance point back a bit, or any heavier reel. I have Complex CI4 2500HGS F6's on mine and like the balance just fine. Brian.
  13. In South Fl. where you can run into bigger fish, look at the Lucky Craft Spinning Rods. They're rated to 3/4oz. lures. Brian.
  14. Shimano Fish Shop. It will work on the Core, you might have to mod. your drag star a bit. Brian.
  15. Factory Shimano Metanium XG handle from Shimano Fish Shop. $34, 96mm, complete w/knobs. You will also need the retainer and screw, $4. They are great handles. Brian.
  16. There's a huge difference between a 6lb. Channel and a 60lb. Flathead. Brian.
  17. Warbaits Warblade. Brian.
  18. The Screaming Eagle is great in river current, the weight helps keep it down. Brian.
  19. Nothing quite like a topwater blow up. These 2 fish were caught on Whopper Ploppers within 10 minutes of each other. Brian.
  20. For what it's worth. From the beginning of June till the present, we have not boated a single fish on the Susquehanna/Juniata that had a sore or growths of any type. I'm not talking 10-20 fish, I'm talking 1000's of fish. That is encouraging, we seen a bunch of fish in the last few years with sores and growths. Brian.
  21. Being able to tell if bass are in a feeding mood with electronics would be a trick. Someone will need to explain that to me. Brian.
  22. That's awesome. I have one in a local lake that has a scar in the same place. I caught her the beginning of May and caught her again last week. She weighed 4-2 in May and 4-3 last week and she was on the other side of the lake from where I caught her in May. Hopefully I can catch her this fall and get a weight on her.
  23. Acid/Spiral Wrap, or the actually wrapping a guide? Brian.
  24. An ITO Carbon Fiber Handle w/out knobs is $100+, so that's a pretty good deal. Brian.
  25. I do it all the time, also with Micro's. It will beat the knot up some, but I've never had an issue with it and I'm bombing 1/2oz.+ Baits. Keep working on your knot to get it as small as possible. Brian.
