    You all are using the words inefficient and ineffective interchangeably. They are 2 different words with 2 different meanings. If you are a run and gun power fisherman, yes, they are inefficient. If you are more relaxed and looking to put fish in the boat, they are neither inefficient or ineffective. Brian.

    For Bass, absolutely alone. No worries about someone showing up late, not showing at all, or informing you after towing the boat 4 hours, they need to be home by noon. Brian.

    Any of the ribbed worms, Grandebass Rattlesnake, Big Bite Coontail, Hags Tornado. They produce when others don't consistently for me. Brian.

    I've always used Hyper Lube. It is a thick, very sticky oil and clings to the worm gear very well. Brian.

    First 3 are Scorpion 1000XT's w/Brenious 7.7:1 gears and Metanium XG Handles, worm/jig reels, Aldebaren 50, my bank fishing reel, and a Curado 50E done up as a BFS to throw 6lb. Flouro. Got about 5-6 more I keep in my buds boat. Brian.

    Yep. Have that exact rod and use it for exactly what you're thinking. They are also a superb trap, squarebill, chatterbait and spinnerbait rod. I bought mine for the sole purpose of topwater bank fishing at night and it's held up for 4+ years now, still looks new. Brian.

    Then your handle was loose. The only thing the handle nut does is hold the handle on. Brian.

    Tightening your handle nut only tightens the handle to the drive shaft, it does not pull EVERYTHING tight, just crushes your handle. Brian.
