  1. I had an identical situation. Get along with the guy perfectly, but he's like fishing with a 2yo. God forbid you catch more fish than him, he'll destroy the entire outing with his pouting and silent treatment. I haven't fished with him in 3 years and I don't miss it one bit. Brian.
  2. My Daughter Megan came down to my fishing room one day while I was cleaning a reel. She sat down at the bench I was sitting at and just watched. A short time went by and I finally ask her " what's on your mind Honey". I wasn't expecting the reply I got. She said, "Dad, (insert boyfriends name here) raped me". I've never felt like such a huge failure in my entire life. It will be 7 years next April and I don't believe I'll ever get past it. So to all you saying "mind your own business", shame on you. I won't speak of it anymore. Brian.
  3. Yes, I've had issues with it being slow, not loading attachments since the maintenance was performed. Brian.
  4. Yes, horrid slow for threads to load.
  5. Both main and pinion as a set. Brian.
  6. C= Compact Body 3000= Reel Size M= Spool Size HG= High Gear
  7. I also prefer fast for banging them around rip rap and rock/gravel flats. Brian.
  8. BRING HOME. I have a College Graduate that is an assistant manager, a really good one. He has said several times, "If I knew I could make this amount of money, doing this, I'd have never went to College". Brian.
  9. I own a Tavern/Restaurant. Work 30+ hours a week and you will easily BRING HOME, $1250+ per week. No HSD, GED, just be sociable, work hard and follow directions. Work in the A/C in the summer, heat in the winter. I can't get people to work. Brian.
  10. Save a couple bucks with the Lancer Pro 7'2" Heavy and a high speed aluminum framed reel of your choice. I've beat on 2 of these rods rigged with 65lb. Braid for 2+ years now, zero complaints. Brian.
  11. My Buds throw all their used plastics in ziplock bags and give them to me at the end of the season. I sort them by colors, remelt, and shoot into new baits.....no elaztech please. I remove mine at the end of the day and return them to their packaging, as Team9nine stated. If torn up, into the remelt pile they go. Brian.
  12. 2- Shimano Chronarch G HG, with 65lb. Fins Pitch Black. One's for Frogs the other for Pitching. Brian.
  13. Looking for a 2nd. generation Shimano Cumara, burgundy blank, 6'8" MH/Fast or Ext. Fast casting rod. PM if you have one you could part with. Thanks, Brian.
  14. I like a light med/hvy fast. I fish a bunch of rip rap/rock. I prefer a fast for the deflection and it seems to lessen the likelihood of getting hung. Brian.
  15. I throw 4" w/a 1/0 weighted hook. The weight is dependent on the current I'm fishing. Fast current, heavier weight, slow current, lighter weight. Brian.
  16. I wish I could like this post 10x's. Brian.
  17. At 7.5:1 I'd probably never catch a Bass on a Bladed Jig. Brian.
  18. I throw Lipless till about 60°,then put them away till 80°. In the cold jigging, slow rolling. In the heat it's a perfect open water Spinnerbait. I probably catch 50%+ of my fish on a Lipless. My favorites are Yo-Zuri Rattlevibe, Jackall TN60-70, Berkley Warpig, Daiwa Game Vibe, and IMA. Brian.
  19. I had Big Bear Rods put 2-7'9" Med/Fast rods together for throwing Lipless specifically. I had the butt shortened on both to give me extra blank length. With a 1/2-5/8oz. Lipless, 12 lb. Tatsu and 16 Metanium HG's, they were unbelievably long. Brian.
  20. Grande Bass Rattlesnake, Big Bite Coontail, Zoom Monster, Zoom Finnesse 6", various 4"-5" Stickbaits, various Craws/Creatures, Burner/Swimmers big and small, various Paddle Tails, various drop shot baits. Brian.
  21. Contact Tackle Trap, they might be able to hook you up with a new guide. Brian.
  22. I must not see it because I can clearly see the foot on the guide. Brian.
  23. ALX OXIM Agent, it's just special. Does a little bit of everything right. Daiwa Rebellion 6'10" MH/R. Best target casting rod I've ever used for Bladed Jigs, Spinnerbaits, Squarebills, Paddletails etc. Daiwa BLX Sensitive Graphite 7'2" MH/Fast. Love this rod for T-rigs and Jigs. Side note; I bleed Shimano blue. Brian.
  24. Hang a Bass about 10-7 off the front hook. That usually will keep them lower in the water column. Brian.
  25. When you put the line back on the reel, put it through the levelwind and it will spool up evenly, or close enough. Brian.
