Coming from a die hard shimano fan. How do you put perfectly balanced and extremely tip heavy in the same sentence...

I want to try a jerkbait one of these on a 30+ second pause.

I run abrazx on my cranking and bottom contact set ups and invizX on my jerkbait and drop shot set ups. Mono for spinner/buzz/chatter baits and top water.

Id say make sure you contact your boater ahead of time. I.E: No need to bring 2 boxes of DD cranks and jerkbaits if your flipping weeds. I usually just do 3-4 3700 boxes. 1 for cranks in the colors I fish at said lake, 1 for soft plastics, 1 for jigs, 1 for terminal tackle. As far as rain gear I have a compact set that rolls up into little pouches which I throw in my lunch box or I'm wearing and wouldnt make a difference. Culls go in a pouch on my bag and nail clippers in my pocket. Sunglasses on my face. My problem used to be bringing 7-8 rods now I just keep it at 5 every trip regardless. ***EDIT Also depending on how friendly the guy is I'm paired with I ask in advance if I can use cargo space behind passenger seat. Most Skeeters, Rangers etc its more than big enough to house a tackle bag and lunch bag/box.

I didnt have this problem because I bought my first one lefty. But some guys do this and regret it from what Ive read over time. SO.. If you grew up holding your rod in your right hand and cranking with left, buy a left handed reel. It will be easier to learn to thumb the spool and you wont be switching hands every cast. Just my $0.02. Other than that get a quality reel.

My 6000 for salt drag click failed on first outing. Second one has been dunked a few times and no problems.

Exactly. I have "4" combos worms-jigs etc. Heres what Im planning. Spinning - 6# invizX (already been using, dropshot, senkos.) BC - 15# AbrazX T rigs and 3/8oz jigs (This is a new rod 7'3" M/F) BC - 15# AbrazX 1/2oz football jigs and football jig headed swimbaits(New rod as well 7'3" MH/F ..was using 10# for my Keitechs) BC - 20# Abrazx for flipping on the broomstick.

I'm using abrazx gonna just do 2 15# spools for my 2 jig rods. One I'm gonna use for my soft swim baits as well, which was on 12#.

yea like 8 of my combos are full spooled flouro. But wanted to switch with new dedicated set ups. Going to order 1000 yard spool and couldn't make up my mind.

What # fluoro on a bc for worm and jig 3/8 - 1/2? ... Just wondering general consensus. Because I was using braid with flouro leader last year and the knot through the guides drove me nuts. Was using 15# on the leader....

1. White zoom fluke 2. Bluegill flash Keitech impact 3. Sexy shad SK spinnerbaits 4. 7" green pumpkin curly tail power bait worm 5. 1/2 oz pb&j SK football head jig with cinnamon trailer. 1 most fish, 5 least fish. All of which were my most productive tools.

No Combos yet but did grab 2 more Omens 7'3" M/F 7'3" MH/F Was really hoping hookuptackle was gonna have their deal on Chronarchs again but they didnt this year. HopefullyI'll get 2 Chronarch CI4s before season starts.

One thing that irritates me about shimano, is a lot of reels seem to debut or only come in right handed models. One of the core models is one of them. Late 2012 I was going to get one but ended up opting for the Chronarch. Another thing is some of the reels will only come in left for one speed and not the others. I think offering so many price points is actually hurting them in the long run.

yeah I have rapalas that come like that out the box.

I had great luck with them over the years during pre spawn.

Yea the Shimanos PoweRgrip and TechnicaLgrip. One for right thumb and index finger and left thumb and index finger. Contoured.
