Im looking forward to trying this new one I found, throughout this season. I do not know the name but the braid basicly holds the fluoro like a chinese finger trap. Alot of salt guys I guess use it.
Curados are rock solid, they simply work. No extra bells and whistles. Just a reel that does exactly what its intended to do. Another thing about Shimano alot of guys dont take into consideration, you can almost guarantee you can get parts for it 10, maybe even 15 years down the road. With exception of Daiwa, other brands parts dont come as easy just a year or two down the road.
So have been doing a little job research. Pay compare to here. Obviously Id have to move where I can secure a job.
Jobs in my field
-Texas Pay 30-40% higher than CT
-Oklahoma Pay -15% lower than CT
-Florida Pay -30% lower than CT
-North Dakota Pay 190-215% higher than CT
-Utah -20% lower than CT
Plus side is all states are Gun friendly
Also just saw Gov Perry of TX just recently passed a infastructure improvement bill. I work in public water supply. There are literally tens of thousands of jobs in TX in my field. Hopefully I can make a move in 1-2 years.
Thanks for all the posts!
Property taxes right now my 1300 sq/ft house $8,800, my jeep $1,690, my fiances jetta $790. Filled my tank last night $4.19/gal for 89. My buddy in Houston house is 2,200 sq/ft taxes were $2,100 and as far as I know no car property taxes.
What states are known for most lakes, best producing lakes, and best year round fishing in general? I live in CT and plan on moving in the next 3-5 years. I'm 31, ticked about these draconian gun laws and (just filed my taxes) sick of paying $0.60 on the dollar in taxes. Off of the above reasons I prefer Texas off the bat but would like to know the fishing scene too. Articles in magazines and websites only share so much info. Any responses to this are appreciated.
www.ctbass.com theres a handful of clubs in the state in CBN. Paul who came in second last night in the classic is from here too. On the website theres a list of people to contact if any of you guys have questions, contact Sylvia. She heads the Nation. Hopefully if some of you guys are interested she can sneak you guys into our club or another for this year. All dues combined are around $130/year plus your $25/year Bassmaster membership. Our club has 6 club tournaments each year. Some clubs may have more. Each club has 1 meeting a month, some clubs mandatory some not. I prefer to attend all of them. CBN state tournaments are optional. I highly recommend everyone here to get involved. More people the better.

As far as NEBA, they are doing a combined trail this year with CBN. Its a team trail, 6 tournaments.
Where did you get the number 7? Not being a smart arse. If I'm flipping I bring 3 if I'm bed fishing I bring 3-4 If I'm fishing deep I bring 5. It really depends what techniques you or the boater or vice versa are doing.
Own 2 and they perform just as reliable as my chronarchs. Some guys just felt some sort of way for down grade of particular component materials. Reels simply work.
I use a 6'7 m/f for jerk baits never really had a prob with losing fish. I do keep drag looser than I would if I was cranking with a moderate action rod, I also try to lip or net them and not swing em in the boat.
ordered them today.... So I think I f'd myself. I remember you saying 5 or 6 bucks didn't remember if it was each or all 4... Called boca and guy was like 8 something I for stainless abec 5s non ceramic told him I wanted cheaper end of the spectrum cuz they're not for spool. Come to find out I paid 8 per bearing. So I get home re read your post above and threw up in my mouth a little bit. So I may end up putting these in my Chronarch handles and the chronarch bearings put em in my curados. ... A day in the life I swear..... Can u give me link for ones you bought so I can order me now. Not paying another 30 something lol
It felt like it was oscillating find I was getting a grind in the handle. When I put the arrow 90' off of the nub part it was grinding full handle turn so I know this is the problem. Every time I try to reset the two gears I get a different amount of grind. Actually it's more like a rubbing friction feeling than grind... Anyhow gonna do what you said over the weekend. Thanks bro!
