  1. I'll add line for you too. 7' - 7'3" Spinning - ML/F (finesse, drop shot, wacky rigs) 6# Fluoro 7' Casting - M/F (1/4-3/8oz jigs and Texas rigs, paddle tail swimbaits) 12# Fluoro 7' - 7'6" Casting - MH/F (1/2oz jigs and Texas rigs, spinner baits, buzzbaits, chatter baits) 12# Fluoro or 12# mono 6' - 6'10" Casting or Spinning - M/F (jerkbaits, small top water: spooks, pop-r's) 10# Fluoro or 15# mono 7' Casting - M/M (Crankbaits, Lipless) 12# Fluoro 7' Casting - H/XF (1oz jigs, frogs) xx# Braid + 15# Fluoro leader or straight braid Only 6 rods would be hard for me, as i use different line for almost every technique. But a ball park break down would look something as the above mentioned.
  2. Lmao they sent me a second one by accident. They're lucky I'm honest. Now my team tourney partner has his first Powell #win again
  3. I want to do something like this so bad. But my basement ceiling is right around 7 ft so 80% of my rods cant be vertical.
  4. Now just got to figure out which reel. If i could get away with 6.x:1 for the cranks I would be all set. Im tempted to buy the 4.9:1 Lexa. Theres really nothing slow other than the chronarch in lefty available. Dont want to spend 200. If I had the cash I'd be all over the Zillion crazy cranker.
  5. I tried 3 times to attach one it didn't work.
  6. Endurance 725 CB. Plan on using it for DT10's and 6XD's maybe even DD22's if it can handle them. I'm excited about this one after hearing so much positive feedback from you guys. Just trying to figure out what reel to throw on it. Need a low gear ratio so probably Chronarch 201E5 and then move my 201E6 to my Dobyns 684CB (shallow and lipless cranks). If any of you guys have some ideas feel free to share. BTW Got it for a $130 from Fish Ranger. Had a issue with the bank not releasing money to them for some reason so it delayed the shipping, otherwise seem like some good guys to deal with.
  7. >< lol Thought I read the 744. I just got one, my use is gonna be for deep football jigs. Was $112 @ BTD on sale for Memorial Day.
  8. Freds magic Stick as well
  9. Those are great alternatives as well. I'm just suggesting to have a stand alone I guess "sub" forum where its only reviews, easier to locate reviews without searching through pages of reviews. Also easier to hold a discussion on one particular item, such as Q&A with the reviewer. Heck, I volunteer to Mod it. lol
  10. Whats your budget, Id rather throw you a opinion so you get the best bang for your buck.
  11. If you see them go up to it and not hammer it try throwing a spook that day. Some days on a certain river up here they'll hammer the spro popper frog, where as other days they wont touch it but annihilate spooks.
  12. I just had a idea for the BR forums. It would be to start a new forum under Bass Boats & Fishing Equipment titled 'User Reviews'. Alot of guys including myself may start a thread for a specific item (I.E; Has anyone tried Tatula Type R). Most of us end up responding with full reviews of said product(s). I think it would be cool to give members the opportunity to have a dedicated place to write a review for that new rod, or spool of line they just got and put to use. While like the other threads here, the forum could be subjected to rules as well. Depending on forum location, even allow posts for tackle such as new lures, soft plastics, tackle storage, boating accessories etc. This is something I'd definitely contribute to on a regular basis. - Cheers
  13. Own the 7ft MH. Actually bought it at Cabelas on sale for $59 around Christmas. First rod Ive bought with the ACS reel seat and really dont like it (the reel seat). Anyhow. I love the rods blank itself. The tip is soft but transfers fast into backbone for a solid hook set. It loads great when casting, you can really get some good distance with it. I use it exclusively for throwing Keitechs on 1/2oz football jig heads. I have it paired with a souped up Citica 201G6 and 10# InvizX. It balances decently, for what i use it for with the tip pointing down 90% of the time, the balance is fine. I've tried using it for smaller jigs and spinner baits and went back to my 13's for those apps. I'm also not a big fan of foregrips on casting rods, the little dinky piece of cork above the lock down thread looks stupid IMO. As far as sensitivity goes it does its job I can feel the bottom and tell the difference between wood, rock, weed etc. But if you palm the reel as I do and wish to have your index finger on the blank, that stupid piece of cork is where my finger tip should be. All in all its worth the money I paid and serves its purpose for me. Alot of experimenting went into deciding to make it my always tied on paddle tail rod. lol
  14. Yea, my thread. Rods are solid!
  15. Striper fishing with my buddy from a pier that also serves as a storm drain run off. In the crack between sections a giant racoon and its babies came out trapping us at end of pier. So I grab my trusty filet knife in case they attacked us. They grabbed 2 of our mackrel and went back in the hole. I hand the filet knife to my buddy so I could jump over hole and move stuff up to the safe end. As soon as went to jump the big racoon jumps out as well startled me and I jumped back swinging my arm and my buddy unwillingly stabbed me in my pinky finger right through to the bone. It sucked!
  16. Doing it this way with Fluorocarbon, take your time, Fluoro cuts into itself. Just take caution and after you successfully got it out inspect your line for a nick, next cast could snap and off goes 100ft of line.
  17. Solid pick IMO, my drop shot, wacky rod is a noodle. ML/F
  18. spinnerbaits yea, cranks no. I have yet to catch a walleye so can't help you there
  19. I just ordered some to try out too. Invizx and abrazx add up a lot over the course of the season.
  20. From the title I envisioned a umbrella rig with 5 frogs on it! Lmaoo
  21. Rules here, we are allowed one courtesy measure per limit.
  22. Rumor up here in CT for a previous NEBA tournament, 2 guys filled a laundry basket with fish the day before a tourney and closed it with bungee cords, and left it under a dock. Went during tourney to retrieve and supposedly a passerby reported it. Makes ya think!
  23. Just a FYI I read a few places today line butter is really slippery and oily. I sprayed a few reels the night before fishing and the next day did not notice any residue or evidence of. Seemed to work pretty good. Gonna order the kvd stuff next go round with bait monkey! Lol
