Symetre on sale or used. Never fished a Pflueger, tried one Lews, CF300, decent reel but the reel foot is thick I guess it wouldn't fit on the 2 rods I wanted to try it on.
I bought the 703C for that exact application. However I didn't realize it was split grip. I like it a lot and think it handles spinner buzz and chatter baits well. However because the split grip I'm prob getting rid of it. I have it up in flea market for trade but you could PM me if anything if you're interested.
Lol I was looking at the top of the reel next to the D of type HD and see the slit I'm like how the hell lol the regular Tats don't have a slit there. I googled a pic and saw the issue is on the t wing itself. I only see the 2nd pic
Went through great lengths for this lmao a good friend of mine is die hard Kistler. I showed him the post just now he said MH/XF is ideal. And you'll have the extra power if you want to throw something bigger.
I run a few Stradics. Love them. With that being said last year I almost bought a Stella for SW until I handled the Sustain FG which I bought. Between those 2 I couldn't justify the difference. But I'm also talking a 6000 size reel. Stella is awesome but I think it's over kill for a shakey head exclusive combo.
I remember reading something about the main gear being brass in the scorpion and something else in the curado I wasn't sure if that was the last generation or this gen. Gonna check those links now
Anyone aware if there is a stat sheet comparing the 2 other than paint job? Going back and forth between website descriptions they seem identical not sure though. :/
Custom rod from DVT!!!! He built mine and Roadwarriors. If I'm correct we have same blank and guides. MHX HM blank, I went with 7'1 MAG ML/F. Also had reel sent to him so he could balance it perfectly. Rod is killer and his work is perfect!
Also make sure you pick up some zenith shaky head jigs from Siebert!
