Hey guys,
Any of you guys buy this Rod? I read it's full length Eva grip but the photo on the website shows split grip cork... If it's like the other swimbait rods they make it will have exposed threads which I would not want. But if it's like the rest of the Fury line I'm buying it.
Thanks if if anyone can clear this up for me. I could give them a call tomorrow but was about to order it today. Lol
+1 Bass Nation as a whole is now sponsored by them. Me individually NOOOOO. RW I'm not pimpin anyone.
Searching through the forums I've only seen reviews and opinions on the baitcasters nothing on the spinning reels so that's why I'm asking.
12# FC here Sniper or Assassin on mine. However for Footballs I'd probably use Shooter and go up in test if there's zebra mussels.
Great reel I love mine. However the palming takes some getting used to body of reel is longer than all my other Shimanos.
Both are great rods for the money IMO. I would look at the type of reel seat and type of hook keeper that's on each they're very different. Both rods are going to balance fairly well with a reel on it and both blanks are good quality. Good luck!
Hey all hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
"-------------edited for political correctness smh-----------". and I want to try them out. I'm all set on casting reels but could use a spinning reel or 2 for random light weight application.
Have any of you tried the C force or the Bolt models and what are your thoughts? Also do the internals have a worm gear or oscillating wheel gear thing? Can't seem to find schematics online.
Carbon drags and high bearing counts for a relatively decent prices seems good....
thanks!
Found a couple bags of wrenches and brakes. red and green tabs. 6 of each. Green ones seem to be a tad thicker??? What reels do these go to? Thanks in advance!
it was Basspro. I called them they said they'll open a investigation. Paid with a Gift Card so idk what will happen. Post office confirmed it was delivered. 2 days after the Metanium was left on my porch lol 2 days earlier the scumbag would have had a way more expensive box. Hate thieves!
Yeah idk how I feel about the top section where I normally rest my index finger. It's feels like a 90 degree angle like the Tats. Plus it's farther up. I can palm them fine on standard reel seats but not on the *** reel seat my pinky ends up above the trigger, no Bueno. Stupid fingers are short.... It feels good on my Dobyns.. idk the standard Fuji seat? Really awkward on the Irod skeletal seat. Pack bay minima I think. Going out Sunday gonna try both shallow 3/8oz jigs on a point and then heave out some 1/2-3/4oz footballs to some 20-30ft structure. See if I can get a bite going. May throw a spinnerbait too. That will give me a good idea on how I feel about the handle before I decide to switch it out.
Almost got to post my latest bundle of purchases but appaerantly some scumbag decided to swipe the package off my porch. Tracked it at work, was excited, got home, POd.
Size doesn't matter to me between them I make a determination which to throw between rattles or a one knocker which ever the fish want at the time of use.
Faster the reel faster you can pick up slack line or get a fish away from cover. That's the idea. The inches per turn of the handle is what you can go by to determine what's right for you. One companies 7:1 might be another's 8:1 in the IPT department. It's personal preference, there's no right or wrong ratio.
