  3. Hey guys, For anyone who missed it here’s the direct link. Thanks, Dave https://www.instagram.com/tv/CtklHx5o_D6/?igshid=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA==
  4. What’s up everyone! Looking forward to kicking things off here shortly with @Glenn ?
  5. I’m big on slower speed reels with cranking. You work the bait more effectively, into and off of cover, your less likely to pull it away from fish, you also don’t have to slow down. It’s easier for me mentally to speed up than slow down. Especially in cold water you want it crawling. Also when you fish baits that float faster than others like DTs when you pause off bumping a object let it rise quick then start going you want that thing to dive right back down to the other side of the cover not a couple feet past it. Have no idea how much cranking you do so just some input above for MY reasons. Hopefully it helps. ?? btw if you do ever get the 5:1 it comes with a 100mm handle with giant knobs. I don’t like them. I ordered the replacement handles from shimano for the XG, 90mm with the normal knobs they’re like $15 each or something. I
  6. Our current classic winner is a huge 5:1 guy.
  7. It’s not the same that’s for sure. I’d order one with the TW sale still on and wait for it to restock then when it comes it sell the 6:1 edit can’t back order that stinks
  8. Gotta say I’m a pretty hardcore Daiwa guy but when shimano came out with the Curado K in 5:1 I jumped on it. In fact 2 of them. Been great reels, and I also have em paired on a Dobyns 805cb and switch back and forth on 764/5cb.
  9. DC 704SF is excellent for the above listed baits. The Kaden 713SF makes a great shaky head, tube, finesse jig rod as well!
  10. 702 would be a great choice for Ned/Drop Shot and even Hair Jigs. Shaky Head you need to step up to a 703.
  11. That’s a score!
  12. Had to fix my 100s. So much better! #itsthelittlethings
  13. Love Sunline Super Natural but abrasion resistance isn’t the strongest attribute... Ordered some Machinegun Cast and Bass Special 4.0 (which looks like super nat, hope not) looking forward to trying both. Defier (not Armilo) is the bees knees but it’s insanely priced. Sufix Siege and Advanced are good.
  14. ? definitely you lol camera angle?
  15. Myself. @Delaware Valley Tackle can service and do all the upgrades you need if you don’t feel comfortable the DIY route.
  16. Two of my favorite reels from the lineup. Pair of JDM Zillion SV 5.5:1 extras: RCS knobs w/ (4) Abec 5 SS bearings Levelwind (2) Abec 5 SS bearings Hawgtech Ceramic spool bearings Carbontex drag These go on a pair of Dobyns Champion XP rods and handle all my mid depth cranking. The 764CB and 765CB. Occasionally put them on a 704CB and 705CB for shallow cranking. Yeah Buddy!!!
  17. I run a Tat HD with that rod. Pretty much same reel. I chuck A Rigs and big glide baits on it a lot. Does a good job.
  18. I wonder why they changed name from Technical Grip to Power knob? Prob to separate em by end cap. ... Knobs that come on the 70 are very similar in size and a hape of the previous Gen Tatula knobs. Not bad at all.
  19. I tournament fish, anything under 1/4oz immediately goes to spinning. I don’t have the patience to mess around with the BFS stuff. Ordering a second one of these 70s. Theyre going on a pair of flipping sticks and I’m not looking back. First outing if they don’t feel like they’ll work out they’re going on a pair of smaller pitching rods. Boggles my mind there aren’t 1,000 YouTube videos on these such a awesome reel.
  20. Got a Scorp from JLS in 4 days. The good sites are still doing good.
  21. This handle is 96mm actually. Different part number from the HG so I bet that one is 90mm.
  22. Do you have the HG or XG? Curious if both have these 90mm handles. Knobs are kinda small I can swap those. But may grab HG models too I can’t get over how much I like this one. HG for slow rolling keitechs mmm mmm mmm
