  1. Lunker City Sluggo, Lunker City Salad Spoon (LOVE IT), Mepps Fury #3 or #4.
  2. Well this has been entertaining to read. I appreciate the strong brand loyalty you guys have. :) I have tried on everything from Wiley's to Costas to Solar Bats. I have given my wallet to the guy at BPS so I could take each pair glasses outside to test, since didn't feel I could make a decision based only on the scant light indoors... The Turbines fit my crooked head better than any other glasses and I could not tell any difference between them and the $300 Maui Jims as far as polarization, though admittedly I was only looking into the little fountain in front of the store to test them out. All in all, I think the Turbines look the coolest, fit my lopsided dome the best and have comparable lens technology so will probably go with them.
  3. That's the color I have my eye on too.
  4. I have 4 $50 BPS gift cards burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas. I was looking for an all around cool pair of polarized sun glasses for fishing, driving hiking, etc. I've never had an expensive pair of sunglasses, my most pricey pair was maybe 30 bucks. Does anyone have any experience with Oakley Turbines? If they suck, do you have any other recommendations in that price range? Around $180.
  5. Lucky Craft RC 1.5s, 2.0s and 2.5s. The ITO followup version is pretty awesome too.
  6. I have some like that, I thought they used to come with some brand of tube baits. I've used them for weightless t-rigging, but they are low quality.
  7. Plain or with a grub trailer, these still kick butt. Favorite is the nickel colored, but gold and silver are awesome too.
  8. A humble little 6 inch BPS ring tail squirmin' worm. Red Shad on a dropshot. I bought a ton of 4 and 6 inch bags of these last year for 99 cents a package and they have been killing for me.
  9. Cajun Red 12 or 14lb. Cheap, strong. And red.
  10. A piece of sidewalk chalk will wick up moisture. I have kids so sidewalk chalk is all over the place. It works well for me.
  11. That's my favorite color for Sweet Beavers. Can't wait to get my hand on some Rage Road Kill...
  12. Powerbait. Love the smell.
  13. Laugh if you want, but I am happy with my Cajun Red Cast.
  14. Terminator Spinnerbait, white/green dual willow leaf blades, one gold, one chrome. Runner up is the Kopper's Field Mouse.
  15. It reely comes down to what you feel comfortable with.
  16. It's an autobiography/non-fiction. The only part that's ever been contested is the jesse ventura stuff (and there were 11 witnesses confirming CK's version of the story). What led to your understanding otherwise?
  17. Fantastic movie. The theater we saw it in was packed, and the crowd was completely silent as the credits rolled. Someone on FB said "That is what respect sounds like". I'm reading the book now, and find myself somewhat surprised by quite a few differences. Don't know why Eastwood made some of the revisions that he did... Not complaining though, just curious...
  18. After getting some BPS Gift cards for Christmas, I plan on grabbing a couple of the Bait Ball poppers and at least one jerkbait. In fact, Live Target is getting the majority of my Christmas $$$ because I'm stocking up on Field Mice, my favorite lure from last year that got beat to heck over the course of the late summer/early fall.
  19. Northern VA is getting an 'Outpost' too, Gainesville. 79K sq feet, which makes it nearly 40% bigger than my local Gander or DSG (58k and 59k respectively). So I'll take it.
  20. Daiwa Tatula Type R Lefty $25 BPS Card x3 BPS Hellgramites x3 (Can't wait to put these on a dropshot) BPS Squirmin' Worms SOG Fasthawk (not really fishing, but outdoorsy, plus I can use it to cut down a tree if my lure got stuck... )
  21. Probably not. I know Gander brand baits used to be made by Big Bite Bait Co. I am sure another big name manufacturer bulk supplies BPS and Cabelas...
  22. Watch the documentary Bigmouth, (it's on youtube). It's a bit dated, but there is one underwater segment showing a fellow fishing and the bass mouthing his lure, including cranks, and then spitting them out. The angler was shocked, having not felt a single thing. Sometimes it happened multiple times per cast. Watching that video and others, I had the same eye-opening experience you did. Sure, line watching might help, keeping your line taut might too, but I don't think anyone (despite much boasting to the contrary...) can feel/see every single bite.
  23. I would say yes, they are there... But the only way to find out is to fish it for a few hours. Even if you catch nothing, your observations while there will tell you more than we could.
  24. Looks sorta like a vintage Spence Water Scout.
