  1. theres a store here in north alabama thats selling remington 550 rd box of .22, (the green box) for $88.00 a box! people will remember that simmons, whenever it gets back on the shelves again, you will lose your customers for doing that to them.
  2. yea ive got like 30 jigs in a shoebox that need repainted.
  3. a crank addiction....am i the only one here with an "all fishing lures" addiction? from cranks, to soft plastics that i have no idea what they are, but you grow out of it right???
  4. agreed....
  5. hahaha, funniest thing ive ever read!!! that is awesome!!
  6. what i usually do is scream and cuss at the fish for being so "stupid" but what i recommend, especially if its happening a lot, quickly drop the rod and pick up a finess type bait, like a jig, or weightless worm or whatever, and throw it out there where you think the fish is following from. it doesnt work everytime, but its fun when it does.
  7. the split ring on those things look pretty thick! are they as heavy duty as they look?? i have no idea what they are, so i cant chime in on that, sorry. however, im interested in whether or not they are hollow with a rattle inside or solid body, or what?
  8. then i would refer to the earlier posts about frayed lines, ect... this will most likely solve your problem. usually in my cases, if my drag is too tight i break off while setting the hook. just make sure you retie often, and keep a check on your line. and if your not sure if you should retie or not, then retie. i retie after 3 fish, and if im fishing tight to cover, especially rocks and docks, then im constantly feeling my line. good luck!
  9. hey me and you dont have to worry about it brother, we are right here in the thick of it!
  10. had a water moccasin try to get in the boat with me a couple years ago while floating down the warrior river. killed it with the paddle, had to get a new paddle after that trip, as it was pretty beat up. i didnt stop swinging until i was sure it was dead! and then had to scrape snake guts off the boat.
  11. when is the line snapping? is it when you set the hook, when your about to land the fish, when the fish starts to fight, or what?
  12. good read, now let the temps drop!!!
  13. spooks, traps, and spinnerbaits when the bite is fast, and i keep a couple of jigs and a shakey head close for when it slows down. but nothing in the world beats the frog at guntersville in the fall!!
  14. oh baby, deadly cast
  15. depends on the size, at Smith Lake there is a slot, so if im needing some fish, im keeping the unders, but i never keep an over. i throw them back and hopefully they will find their way back to my line come tourny time
