  1. Its about an hour from me... Atleast I can go somewhere that is relatively close and actually see the equipment in perso instead of on my laptop...
  2. Wow!! My dad caught a Pumkinseed that weighed 15 oz which unofficially breaks nh's state record but it seemed to be pregnant so we released her...
  3. I hear that If you hold a bass over 7 pounds by the lower lip it CAN do damage... Not sure but thats what I have heard, but when I catch a 7pounder I will hold it how I want!

  6. When Surf fishing for stripers lots of birds = lots of bait fish, lots of baitfish = lots of bigger fish that are after the bait... And always be looking up and down the beach to see if anything is going on on the surface... Sometimes if I can't find the fish I will use a topwater bait that splashes a bit or that has sometype of noise that will get a fish's attention and possibly find more than one... ( or sometype of swimming plug with a rattle )...
  7. Id want to stay under $200 but would go to $250...
  8. I have never fished in a tournment and I really want to start taking part in some... My knowledge of fishing tournaments is very slim and would appreciate any tips or tourneys you know about...
  9. The rod I have is a 7' medium Abu Garcia Vengeance... Does the type of fishing I posted above match that of the rod I have? Should this setup be used for a different tper of fishing?
  10. All of my fishing whether it be fresh or saltwater has been with spinning tackle... I want to try a baitcasting setup, I already purchased a rod and don't know what reel I should get. Any suggestions... Lots of my fishing is topwater or weightless soft plastic fishing ( sometimes a bullet weight) If that helps?
  11. Well as far as weightless plastics go Slugos are my favorite, I hook the with the hook exposed... You can either retrieve the bait fast - resulting in an erratic side to side movement on the top of the water....Or.... You can let the bait sink... twitch... retrieve a bit...sink...twitch.... Definatley my favorite and most successful way to catch bass on weightless plastics...
  12. What ever..... It is still an additional $20,000 a year that he doesn't have to work forr, and I think I would be fine with that! I would be fine if I caught a world record and got nothing in addition... -It is indeed a bit bitter sweet though...

  18. Thanks, I saw some jacks close to 10 or 15lbs chasing a small school of fish close to 8 inches- mullet? Well I look forward to heading down again and hopefully it will be more productive than one 4-5 pound jack.... Still put up a good fight and the trip was still fun...

  24. North Palm Beach, right when the Earman River flows into the lake worth lagoon across from mungion island I think... Im gonna go down again with my dad and a friend, minus the sister lol... And we saw tons of snook they were eating glass minnows they are so darn stubborn! It was a blast to actually see them feeding... I'll post a pic of all the snook under the light...
  25. Bass fishing in shallow water is my favorite... Don't be fooled just by the cover you can see on top of the water, an advantage of fishing a relatively shallow place is that you can see the bottom or make out some structure from the bottom. My favorite way to target bass like this is with topwater(hard and soft), soft on pads and in grassy muck, hard around the cover... Like I was saying about cover under the water like rocks, submerged vegetation, logs, etc. I either use topwater, texas rigged worm(weighted or not) , crankbait depending on the depth... If it is a small pond/lake I usually go ahead and fish the entire shore line before doing anything else... Hope something helped.... And the photo in my profile pic was caught in less than 6ft of water
