Who Wants In October!
We are going to keep the same rules from last month... http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/124375-who-wants-in-september/
One thought that I'd like to put out there is having two categories... One for weight, one for length, yes all scales are a little different but I think it may put a new twist on the competition... The rule(s)for entering fish in the weight category are simple... The photo of the fish on the scale must be readable, try to get most if not all of the fish in the picture including the scale's reading... I think we are all honest enough to do the weighted fish accurately and in a fair manor. I'm still not sure about the weight category but let me know guys...
I'd also like to make an offer to the southern competition... My idea is, for this month (and possible months to come) the longest 15 bass from north Vs the longest 15 bass from the south... Just for some extra fun!!
Let's have another fantastic month!!!
I will start the new thread tomorrow night, so if there are any eager ones that go out in the morning just hold off til I put up the new thread... Great job this month to all!
Sadly I wasn't able to do much fishing in the end of the month so I'm sticking at 93"... There will be plenty of big ones feeding up for winter in October so that will hopefully be a create competition...
It's looking like Mainebass is going to win this month with an outstanding 111", PM you mailing address and I will send you your prize. I'll put together a smorgasbord of baits and mail them...
Minimum size was 12", and in the morning a nice 2pounder missed my spook and teamate lost a bigger on a jig, but we are in the championship so it's alllll goooooodd!
Fishing was VERRRYYY tough!!! 8 fish limit, we had 4 with 10.99lbs... 1st place had 7 fish with 11.??... We really should have won but we qualified so that is good. A lot of teams came back empty handed or with 1 or 2 fish...
There were 35 teams I believe and top 11 qualify for the championship which is on Winnisquam Oct 5th...
Not upset at all, I agree with you... There is no way that that fish is 7pounds, probably closer to 4, but I don't think I would have made the initial post you made... That's what I disagreed with, it just rubbed me the wrong way at the moment LOL, were all good
Comin' down the final week... I'm fishing a tournament on Thursday so Saturday and Sunday will be my last chance to target some pigs to catch up with Mainebass...
Still not sure what the prize will be but when we the month comes to a close and the winner is announced I'll ship them a their prize...
Excited to finish of this month and begin the next one!
Whether I agree with you or not, you didn't weigh the fish....
Does it look 7lbs... Not to me, but who knows some photos can be deceiving in both ways (larger/smaller)...
You are correct, the scale doesn't lie, but I doubt you weighed the fish therefore don't know the weight.
I may be getting out a little tomorrow after soccer... And I am prefishing Winnipesaukee (on my canoe lol) all day on Saturday, hopefully I'll come away with a fish or two to cull...
Good luck this weekend guys!
