  1. Nothing wrong with those numbers...sounds like an awesome trip!
  2. Good looking fish...congrats on the PB!
  3. Thanks for verifying my scale. The fish was pretty fat. It's a pretty cheap scale though which is why I question the accuracy. What I really need to do is find something of a known weight so I can weigh it and see.
  4. Awesome fish!
  5. Nah. They're chain pickerel. Pike have spots like the fish in this thread. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/125828-my-son-got-a-nice-pike/ Chain pickerel have the chain like markings up and down they're sides. They also don't get nearly as big as pike.
  6. Best episode ever. Liked it before I started fishing and then after I started it made it that much better.
  7. I actually haven't been catching them much lately. Caught a lot last fall and this past spring but they seem to have slowed down a bit over the summer. We'll see how they do once it gets a little cooler out. I'm expecting the pickerel bite to pick back up as the weather cools.
  8. Caught this nice fish earlier today at the private lake I go to. I was throwing a Yum Dinger and she was sitting right next to a bush right by the bank in about 8 inches of water. 17-18 inches and about 3.75 pounds.
  9. Good looking fish!
  10. Nice fish! And as a fat guy, I love that you always throw in the extra pic of your badass sandwich.
  11. Didn't even think about that and now you've gone and put the idea in my head. Like I don't have enough problems with the bait monkey already.
  12. I hate waiting to fish. I work 6 days a week so I try to go out early in the mornings before work. I usually get out 2-3 times a week so it doesn't bother me much but a guy I work with only gets to fish once every 2 weeks. I couldn't do it.
  13. It's possible. My PB before this one was longer but this one was fatter. My scale is garbage so I don't use it often and don't have an exact weight on my past or current PBs.
  14. Went to the private lake I usually fish at today. The day started off slow. It was overcast with on/off drizzle. Was seeing lots of fish moving around in the shallows and breaking the surface but couldn't get anything to bite. Walked all the way down the bank and 3/4 of the way back down to my car with no action but I did find a Rapala Rattlin' Rap and a Luck-E-Strike Rick Clunn Squarebill. Then the sun came out and the fish turned on. In about 20 minutes, I caught one average size bass... One yellow perch that I didn't even know was in this lake... And this beast... She was just shy of 18 inches and my crappy $5 mechanical scale put her at about 3.75 lbs. I would have been happy with just the yellow perch to keep me from getting skunked but this fish was the icing on the cake.
  15. Good point. Didn't think about that. If they're food supply is infected, that would be bad.
  16. On the Talking Dead they said it was a head in the bag. From what I could gather, the zombified head of her boyfriend or husband or something. I think Patrick died from hitting his head but he was obviously sick and my bet is that is has something to do with the zombie virus.
  17. I thought the lady in the woods was a zombie when she first staggered into view. Then I'm wondering if maybe its some kind of mutation on the virus or does she have some other disease or what. She just looked sickly. Aside from being shady and trying to kill rick, something else just seemed off about her. And then to take into consideration the animals dying and Patrick getting sick and turning the way he did. Something's up with the zombie virus this season and Sunday can't come soon enough. And they need to make these episodes longer. Seems like just as your really getting into it, they leave you hanging till next week and before you know it the season's over and it feels like its only been a month. I want to see 2 hour episodes. But then I guess the comics are only so far along and they don't want the TV series catching up with them. Daryl will always be a badass and I'm gonna be really upset if/when he gets killed off. I even just bought a Daryl costume and crossbow for my Xbox Live avatar. Someone in the episode brought up the question of what Daryl did before the zombie apocalypse. Since he said that, I've been wondering and would be interested to know.
  18. I'll guess 45-50 lbs but what do I know? Beast of a fish whatever the weight! Bet it was fun on the lighter gear.
  19. Hey man, I'm on the Eastern Shore but probably about an hour away from you. I'm in Ridgely in Caroline County. Never really fished Johnson's pond though so all I can really tell you is that the majority of my recent fish have been on moving lures like spinnerbaits or cranks.
