  1. Mine was small but not tiny. Around 9 inches. And I have to add, LOL at PondHunters avatar.
  2. I was gonna say 7lbs pushing towards 8. I'm still working on my weight guess-timations. I have a spring scale but I don't use it often unless its a decent fish. Don't see much of a point in weighing 12 inch fish. I recently started watching fishing shows on the Outdoor Channel like Major League Fishing and I try and guess the weights before the actual weight is given. I'm actually getting pretty good at.
  3. Nice!
  4. Welcome to BR!
  5. I've been having a lot of luck with spinnerbaits around lily pads.
  6. Went out from about 6-830 this morning. It was really foggy. I fished the main lake for a bit with no luck so I went to the small pond that's adjacent to it. Right around sunrise I caught this guy on a Rage Tail Shellcracker. Just as I was getting ready to leave, I got my spinnerbait snagged and broke off. I tied on another SK spinnerbait in Bleeding Gold Shiner just so there was something on there for the walk back to the car but I say to myself "one last cast...". Glad I did cuz I hooked into this little chunker. Best one of the season so far.
  7. SK Lil' Mr. Money Spinnerbait in White SK Premier Pro-Model Spinnerbait in Red SK Redeye Special Spinnerbait in Chartreuse The spinnerbait bite has been hot around here lately.
  8. So much to talk about but I don't want to give anything away in case anyone hasn't seen the finale yet so.... ***SPOILER ALERT*** If you haven't seen the finale, then read no further! Carl going off the deep end. I agree with this. He shouldn't have killed that kid but I also feel like he's sort of throwing a bit of a temper tantrum because Rick won't let him do anything fun. Ok, maybe not fun but Carl wants to contribute. Help raid Woodbury, defend the group, go off on his own little excursions when they're out on runs but Rick wants to keep him out of danger whenever possible. Carl wants Rick to see him as more of an adult and feels like he's being too overprotective. I felt bad for Milton. He just wasn't built for the zombie apocalypse. I would have liked for him to survive but I'm glad he had a noble death trying to save Andrea and kill The Governor. Andrea Andrea Andrea....she shoulda just listened to Michone in the first place and left Woodbury. She made a valiant effort but in the end, it just wasn't enough. At least she wasn't tortured to death and at least she was able to do herself in rather than turning. Very sad since a couple episodes ago she was right there within arms reach of the prison and her people. I enjoyed the scene where The Governor killed the Woodbury army. They question his authority, he goes berserk and blows everyone away, and then you see Martinez in the background about to poop himself. I'm sure next season he's going to try and continue waging war on Rick and the group but he's really only down to 2 guys now so I dunno... I'm not too sure about Rick's decision to bring all the Woodbury citizens back to the prison. I suppose yeah, it was morally the right thing to do and sets a good example for Carl who is starting to lose his way but aside from Tyreese and his sister, its pretty much all children and old folks. The group isn't realy gaining too many able bodies. Seems to me like the majority of the people taken in are going to be more of a liability than an asset. But on the plus side, after doing this, Rick no longer sees Lori's ghost so hopefully were done with all that nonsense. Now we play the waiting game til Season 4. October can't come soon enough. Catchin fat fall bass in the morning and watching the Walking Dead in the evenings!
  9. Went out for a couple hours this morning before the rain. Caught a little one on a Strike King Spinnerbait right before I was about to leave. He hit it right at the bank just before I lifted it out of the water. This ALWAYS happens. If your going to lose a lure, rest assured that its probably going to be a brand new one. I've actually started waiting a few trips before fishing new lures.
  10. Congrats on starting your season!
  11. Welcome!
  12. Hello and welcome!
  13. Welcome to BR!
  14. Caught this one on a 6inch Pumpkinseed Berkley Powerbait Lizard. I think it went about 9 inches. Caught this one today on a chartreuse Strike King Spinnerbait. He hit it like a truck right at my feet in about 8 inches of water. Feisty little guy. About the same size as the first one. Looks a little bigger cuz its right up on the camera. You know, perspective and all that.
  15. Geeze man...those things are beastly! The one's around here don't get anywhere near that big.
  16. Nice...hope you enjoy your dinner!
  17. Awww....he's just a little fella. Nice fish man...sounds like a fun trip!
  18. Congrats!
  19. Nice! I'm gonna go out for a couple hours in the morning before the rain starts. Don't have high expectations though. Haven't been doing too well in the mornings.
  20. I saw that page. I wonder if mine was always the way it is now or if it was once a jointed bait that someone lost/replaced the jointed part. Either way like I said, the action is awesome. The best way I can describe it is if you've ever fished an Eeliminator really slow, picture that action but at crankbait speed. I guess Ill just keep looking. Thanks for the replies everyone.
