  1. Try www.Krugerfarms.com I bought a med xfast there a couple of weeks ago and at that time they had some ml's in stock.
  2. Nice catch. I always like it when I can catch something at a new place.
  3. Repro normally is owned by a bank or lending company. You would be buying it from them, many time they are beat to ***** as the previous owner knew it was going to get reproed. Other times they are in good shape just think of it as buying a used car from a private party. Be sure and look it over real well & it's a good idea to have it checked over by a mechanic. Way back when when I was younger the guy I worked for & I used to repro cars/trucks. We reproed a 1970 Chevy pickup that my dad ended up buying from the bank. It had low miles on it and was a good truck. He was never sorry he bought it. We did check it over head to toe before he bought it.
  4. You mean we're suppose to be reading this stuff?
  5. What ate the gloves your wearing in the video?
  6. Seems a little odd at first but after a bit it becomes second nature.
  7. Check with the guys over at www.tinboats.net I'm sure someone over there that has done it and can tell you the god, bad, & the ugly.
  8. I had a couple of them they weren't bad reels but I like the Pflueger Presidents better for about the same price point. I think I still have a Lews 200 but don't really use it anymore, it has become a backup.
  9. I have a Pflueger President mounted on an Oddssey spinning rod I bought for half price at $20, in fact I have several in different actions.
  10. I bought one of a Tpod SonarPhone about a month ago. Works pretty well from the bank, cast it out let it sit or crank it back in. You can also tow it behind a boat, they have some other portable models. I am enjoying my Tpod finding out things about small lakes and ponds. The only draw back I have found so far is you can't scroll back. http://sonarphone.mobi/
  11. Man you talk about stealth bait. Bassmn look in your media library here and see if the pics are there.
  12. This is so cool.........
  13. I just bought a SonarPhone which is a bobber looking deal that you can cast or even tow behind a boat. It then send a wifi signal to your phone and using their app the sonar graph shows on your phone. I use it when going to small lakes or ponds where I'm fishing from the bank. Also gives you depth and water temp.
  14. Good one
  15. My 1st choice is Denny Dennis Sporting Goods, local. If in a pinch I go to Gander which I don't really care for, just doesn't do anything for me for some reason. BP & Cabrla's are both about 25 miles away so I weigh the cost of shipping with the cost of driving there to find out they don't have it in the store. Both are a fun place to go when you want to kill some time, like in the winter. I also order online from several sources like TW.
  16. As far as I can tell there isn't much cover per say. There are several patches of ***** willows along several points along the bank. The is a fountain out in the middle but don't know how much cover it provides. There is a circle of deep water around it, 10' deep, and a channel going to the other end that is about 7-8' deep. The sides on these are rather steep. Haven't found any other structure so far. Normally I could catch them on the slop just before it leveled out to the shallower water. I'll be back there Monday at the latest and see how it goes, should be cleared up by then.
  17. Mr Clean Magic Eraser cleans the cork handles well too.
  18. I have bought from DSG on line but never visit the store. One is in a mall and a pain to get to. The other one is a stand alone but I don't go to that part of town much. Both are about the same distant from me. I get most of my fishing from a local mom & pop sporting goods store not far from me. Can also drive about 25 miles to a P or Caberlas.
  19. I fish a lot in a acre city park pond not far from me. I can normally go there anytime and at least catch a few small LMB 8-11" range, every once in a while hook into a 16-18" one. The water is rather clear and about 10' deep in the deepest parts. I live in the Midwest where we got a ton of rain over the last week. Been the a couple of times in between rain drops and the last 2 days now that it has stopped raining. The water now in between murky & muddy. Water temp is probably high 50's to low 60's. For what ever reason the bite has shut off. I get a bite here and there but it's more like they are just pushing it out of the way. Won't come back no matter what I do. Have tried different techniques, different lures & jigs, nothing. It's not just me a friend who fishes there has been having the same issue. Here's my theory, they are use to the clear water and the muddy/murky water just has them all in a funk. The water should clear in a few days so hopefully fishing will resume.
  20. From what I have read they are very good rods & better than the HMX. I was going to buy one but the one I wanted was out of stock so I went with the Elite Tech Smallmouth instead.
  21. It helps keep people employed.
  22. I have both Pflueger Presidents and Purist both are very nice reels. The Purist has a little better drag, both are really smooth. Last time I checked Dunn's Sporting Goods had the Presidents on sale for $48.
  23. My pickup has a cover on it. I carry fishing gear with me most of the time. I didn't want my rods just bouncing around the bed so I took 2 spring loaded shower curtain rods and put the across the bed, front and rear. The rods are the covered with pipe insulation. I the use Velcro straps to hold the but ends in place. Having a short bed truck they lay at an angle. I then have some soda cases to hold tackle. Makes loading and unloading quick when I want to use the truck for something else.
  24. That's a new one for me, seen it done with the line trolling from a boat. Thanks
