  1. tampa area has 25% off all clearance rack..Bandits, sking, Tungsten. line, luck e strike rc sticks, freaks, and if prices end in 7 or 3 item is 75%, frog hooks, swim jigs, but best is all trigger x 1.50 for flukes,swimbaits.....I had to run out and only grabbed some hooks, and few dozen packs of trigger x...and some big game line for 4 bucks....Hit fifty in case I take the survey to save 10 bucks on next visit which may happen tomorrow so I can grab the luckys that will be 7.50.....Booyah stuff is hidden but real gill spinnerbaits are cheap.... Dangerous time of year.Gander has Dts, thugs, glidin raps. max raps, xraps....all good stuff, 2.99, thats cheaper than wholesale cause sizes are big and colors are right,...1.99 diamond shad, red eye, all storms as well, xcals...Need to get away from these places for a while.
  2. I actually have a bunch of translucent grape and purple worms that I often throw, and If water is dingy, I find a spike it marker with chart or pink helps big time. I still love black with chart tail and one of the best colors for me is blue with silver flake and it always outfishes black and blue for me.. Culprit has a senko style worm in Junebug blue tail that is awesome looking, I actually love the density of the Culprit worms, and I have not used it much yet since I have a hard time not using black/chart tip and gp colors.... I recently went out with some 9" twister tail worms that have the big knobs throughout the body and I had them in green pumpkin black flake, and a plum with red flake/Translucent. I started getting strikes with the old style worm 3-1 when my buddy decided he was going to go with a Red Shad SLugg-o since it was Retro day..Don't burry the Sluggo just yet, it is awesome, and the fish seem ok with the idea of us wacky rigging them as well. I told a few friends and apparently the Sluggo was on fire this morning while I was working, so I am starting to think the fish are seeing a few too many senkos coming buy every day, trick worms, and then more senkos and maybe a bunch of flukes as well as they seem to not work as well on the lakes that get alot of pressure. i I am going to fish the Manns Jelly worm again instead of trick worms, sluggos instead of senkos, and Powerbait Ribbon Tails instead of senkos and see how things go...Time to grab some Salt and pepper and smoke grubs as well, and some Wooden topwater Prop lures & Gator tail and triple ripple tail worms....Its a new generation of bass so the big fish have grown up with Yamamoto and Zoom.....Time to show them some old school baits and I think this may work. Only problem, If I don't start a day and see a few fish being caught, I will be grabbing all my trick worms and senkos in Junebug, Gp, Watermelon, Black and blue....maybe go outside the box and Junebug red flake.....that should do the trick...Color is all in our heads I think. I have yet to see any studies that are conclusive and the best one I read was done at Iowa univerity and Bass preffered a Yellow worm almost 2/1 over any other colors and I think black and grey were next....In that book "Knowing Bass" but could be another.....Nobody knows, That is why we carry 80 bags with use, Just in case the Pink with silver flake is on fire for a brush hog or fluke...I love to carry pinks with me, yet never throw them. I would never leave home, and I think I did catch a bass once on bubble gum when it first came out, but have to have them....
  3. I only have had success with glow baits in saltwater for Trout, Reds,snook...Glow is actually a good color and often is best either deep or in stained water. I have never tried them in for Bass. I used a grub as a trailer on a spinnerbait when fishing was slow, so not sure how they would work, but our of all the baits we sell at our soft bait bar, glow is first to sell out always. People love to buy them, I hear Crappie will get fired up for some glow grubs at times, I would rather throw Lime or chartruese if I need some bright colors, or think I do....
  4. I actually prefer the zara spook that has the saltwater sticker on it. It is the same bait from heddon, only has thicker and stainless split rings and corrosion resistant trebles and split ring. I have never noticed a difference with the spook, but suspending saltwater lures often sink in Freshwater as they are designed for salt. Some of my favorite lures are marketed for Saltwater, like a Yozuri Banana boat walking bait, Mirrodine even though it sinks slowly not suspending like it does in salt, but remember, companies like Bass Assassin and Saltwater Assassin as an example call one bait a turbo shad, other a sea shad, and it issame bait. I have found that companies like Rapala are smart since they do not market to either, and people just buy both. Some people will not buy a lure unless it says saltwater. It drives me nuts when someone tells me a Trigger X bio bait that says saltwater on it, and the bait is a new penny gold flake fluke, which we call green pumpkin/gold flake will not work in freshwater since it says saltwater....I have never noticed any difference from Gulp, Trigger x, Yozuri Excite a bite in Fresh or salt...Same with Exude and Mister twister and D.O.A. owner actually designed many baits for both, geared toward the big O. He puts out great videos on how to fish his baits. The zara spook, super spook, any spook is a great lure and super fun to fish. Hang on, bigger fish like spooks compared to other walking baits in my opinion...Not sure why. Sammies are great, but I find a spook almost as good if not as good. I like a Rapala Skitter Walk as well, and I just tried a River 2 Sea Walking lure a friend let me borrow which stayed on my rod and is very very good. Love a spook. You need to love it as well. I find Mono leader or no leader works best for walking, loop knot if not a split ring, and fluro is ok, but it sinks so drags the nose down and makes walking tougher but can be done if you need stealth or it gives you confidence....
  5. I was just thinking about brand label baits, and wishing Gambler makes a pearl ez swimmer with red eyes type of thing. I think a buddy I used to fish with used the hand pours you mentioned, everyone in Florida uses Bitters which is not a secret, and we have secret colors on each lake, but those colors are good in all lakes with same color water. I don't believe in secret colors or absolutes in fishing, too many variables, and if I found a true secret lure or color, it is not staying a secret, it is becoming a huge lure on the market. I have my own secret colors I find work best, but I also found out I was not the only one having changeovers done, in same styles, and we always talk and share....I know color matters, but only if in the right hands, right time, and that window could be 2 hours from my experiences. Only rare, but hand pours are awesome, great action, plus I get them to fit my style so I am more confident. I use a hypothosis based on local knowledge, water color, depth, good polorized glasses, and usually when I slay em on a certain color that is a hand pour that I "created" I find that someone at the ramp did 2x better using a 5" Kalins Grub in Lime with a Pink tail on a 3/8 Mushroom jig with a fast but stop and go retrieve to kill them....for first 2 hours of day, then they had a few on a jig, but those 22 lbs were good enough, right time right place has always been my theory, but fishing is not fun if we have nothing new to try or if you don't try new ideas.....Powerbait had science-Berkley Institute, and when I read about fishing, it is usually skill that made the guy who win, was on pattern long enough, didnt lose the big ones....If they have money, some guys win alot of big events cause they can pay locals for maps, pay them to pre-fish during the week, I have noticed and heard lakes get really crowded before big events.... Either way, I think some companies make such good quality soft baits that hand pours are still awesome, its a custom so you can do it your way, but I have not been able to find anyone to duplicate the action of certain brands....Kind of wish I could get Yamamoto to make some senkos in Roboworm patterns....May happen, trends are moving in a few new directions for sure...Always more good stuff to buy, tackle has gotten so good in my 30 years, I look at old BP catalogs and see the lures and names and color and it just shows that your statement of "lakes change over time is 100% accurate, Senkos seem to be not as popular in this area any more, guys fishing more creatures, finesse, or just read the last 6 major magazines and that is usually what most guys are throwing in some form.
  6. I remember this color from Culprit, and it was also a favorite of mine in the Manns line up. I am starting to get into the culprit worms again and especially the Fat Max and Incredicraw for flipping, but I actually still throw Jelly Worms more than Trick worms, and Augertails still will catch some hogs...I have a catolog from Culprit I saved from years ago (1989 I believe) as I used to mail letters to all the tackle companies when I had my first little jon boat at age 11 and I would stick them all over this thing, it looked awful now that I look back, but I though I was the Man in this thing, especially with my 17lb thrust Minn Kota on the Long Island waters. Culprit was awesome and sent me a jacket, sample bags of baits, shirts, decals and I can say it was awesome coming home from school for a few months. I will always buy Fenwick as they not only sent me Decals, but they sent me 2 spinning rods and it was in the dayys of the Boron rod I think, and I had to have one, so I told them I was hoping to get one at Xmas. They sent 2 good quality rods, and Heddon sent me crazy crawlers.....Heck, I not only had a ton of decals, but I remember one company and I want to say it was Heddon, sent me a box of about a dozen lures, and several were models they had not released and I must have mentioned I loved the Crazy Crawler cause they sent me almost half a dozen, Hula Poppers, and some cool lures I had never seen. I am still loyal to the one's that responded and most did, and were cool, so it was smart on the 5 companies that made the biggest impression as I pitch them to people, buy them, and always look to give them my business. I just wished I still liked to Use Panther Martin Products, as they went overboard, and I may actually buy a new 2 man Inflatable Kayak for the wilderness trips and I saw Harrison Hodge has some nice Sea Eagle options....I tried their Frog, same problems as the bill plummer super frog.. Great call, I will be hunting these down on my roadtrip and will let you know if I find them. I think I will. Manns is still making the blue color and I am sure Charlies worm's would maybe do something like this if not available......Electric Blue Culprit...Plum Crazy, and I think the Translucents need to come back for sure, especially in the new styles of today....Imagine a Senko in this blue, or a finesse worm or frog...Probably work good. Jelly worms worm awesome down here and never stopped in saltwater either.
  7. These Cut-R worms are obviously legit as I hear the word every day.....I agree, Red shad and black red firetip curly tail worms are always good. I would think fish have not seen the tomato core colors in a while as they are not marketed much. I actually use alot of the cheap MR. Twister curly tails in the Translucent colors like Orange with chart coating, and black with red on red is good idea, purple on bright purple is great, so black red makes sense scientifically depending on which studies you trust most. I have used the color chart from Iowa University color study on Bass and color, or was it Idaho...anyway, when we fished in tanic water, I matched chart with a yellow purple shade and we actually did pretty good for a tough day....Thanks, Could look cool, Rage tail is all over for sure..Good stuff. smells even better.
  8. Gulp and powerbait panfish baits are awefully good as mentioned, small 1" twister tails, beetle spins, 1" tubes, micro craws, floating trout worms, really any small baits like a helgramite, dragonfly, powerbait jars of maggots, worms, but I used to use small acme Kastmaster spoons, Road Runners, Crappie maribau jigs, and I would agree...Use either a drop shot or split shot rig and look for soft baits by Mister Twister, Southern Hot Grubs, SLider GRubs by Charlie Brewer, but best bet is a Modified Alabama rig.... also called a Sabiki Rig with 6 hooks that you just drop to the bottom, wait, and all nymphs, or fake shrimp are probably most popular for panfish in micro size, glow beads, but I would add a piece of gulp on each hook and it is like pork as far as durability......sabiki rigs are awesome for catching bait in saltwater, and are dynamite for panfish as well. you can buy nice ones for $3.00 and some for .99, just get a pack of lindy walking sinkers or any 1/4-1/2 oz bell sinker and you are good to go. Hope that helps, you will catch every type of fish in the lake from Trout to perch, catfish, shiners, bass, and on and on....Don't try and save money by purchasing the fake looking earthworms from China that say scented and are like $5.00 for 300, they are useless compared to Gulp, Trigger X, Panfish assassin, lindy, and I would get a nice box of plastics and little spinners, jigs etc.
  9. Awesome answer....I actually have a few ideas that may work for you, and 2 companies make a really good firetiger fluke and one makes a small 3.5" paddle shad...Culprit owns Riptide and riptide makes a 5" fluke that has a long single tail like a Wave or Yamamoto style, green body, orange belly, and tail is green and orange scale blend...Also, Saltwater Assassin makes the Sea Shad in a color that is orange and green, I love the idea of vertical bars on a soft bait especially to imitate a perch, and I grew up fishing NY waters, so I know that you need to have natural colors, and the Perch Rapala Shad rap, J-9 Minnow was a killer and so were any baits that were baby bass. You just gave me an idea, and I think it may be a really good bait. I am sure they can do it, at least a swirl....but I am glad you responded. I was not thinking like that for soft baits and that is bizare, I can see a perch pattern good on baits in all the major food groups.....Hopefully you will have a pic, and then a package soon. Thanks again for helping out
  10. I was wondering what a pocket knocker is as well....I am sure I will consider buying it even if I have no clue what it does, but I think it may be a type of lure retriever? Jigs are getting expensive so I can see it being possible. How are the Siebert jigs? I keep hearing about them and That box of jigs just looked awesome and the colors all have a high quality natural look to them and skirts that come alive when wet. I finally learned to fish a jig last year after a friend forced me to use it all day and kept telling me from the first cast that I needed to learn to flip and cast as quiet as possible and to only shake or move your jig if you were concentrating 100%. I realized that if I could get the jig to land right on target and then glide under the weeds/brush without a crash landing, my line would start moving to one side super quickly as the fish were feeding like crazy and it was easily a top 10 trip when it comes to action and overall quality...So glad I was with someone who was able to put me on fish, coach me up and every time we moved 20 yards down the shoreline it was another 2-3lb fish and confidence never goes away. If I struggle on a jig, I usually am working it too much, not shaking and resting, or I am using to light or heavy and sink rate is not right. Alot of people I talk to and fish with avoid the jig and I know it is lack of confidence as I used to fear jigs. I still never use a jig without a blade as a swim jig, because when I was yound and would try a jig, I would only get random strikes while reeling it in like a spinnerbait. Anyone can do that, and maybe I am missing something, but is a swim jig without a Blade worth casting and reeling as sole intention???
  11. IF I get to pick the season, I may have to choose any Lipless crankbait like a Rat l trap in pre spawn or Fall, really anytime I can throw it and get it to come through grass that is not to thick. End of the day, I could leave my house, head to the lake with a Junebug Trick Worm, worm weight maybe, and I would feel ok, a few shakey heads or darter jig heads would help out also.... Really, a Jig always will work some where some how, plastic worm and a finesse worm is safest bet in my opinion and I never strike out on a purple, black, motor oil, pumpkin color, Spinnerbait is a fun day, buzz bait is way to hit or miss, chatterbait or johnson silver minnow would be lures that I am confident would work if had to pick one. A jig or bladed jig can be cranked, fished like a rattle trap, flipped, yo yo ripping in deep water, steady slow roll under surface in evening, so I guess Jig can catch fish any depth, and in cover.....Plus cast them a mile, a worm can be tough if deep and windy...I am just thinking out loud, I have been trying to sell lures and clean out the hundreds of cranks I never use and love to buy for some reason. Looks awesome, but they are all pretty as I rarely open the box except to grab a wake bait, not a crank imo.
  12. Spinnerbaits in single colorodo gold blade white, blk, chart skirts in 1/4-3/4 always worked well for me up North for fish of all sizes, all year round, and I also like Double Willows in silver or Gold, or a colorodo/willow...I never got into colored blades, usually favored Hammered over clean finish, and alsmost always would do well on a white skirt chart trailer, or chart skirt white trailer....Orange and brown is always good for me as well, especially pre spawn...That is actually one color on one bait that I can say for sure will make a difference on many days when they won't react to whites, blk, charts etc....Orange crawfish blades worked, but I used to kill them on a 1/8 orange brown double colorodo or willow, stanley Wedge, and always BPS brand.....never liked small spinnerbaits, I find 3/8 or 1/2 to catch more fish than a 1/8 and I used to love a simple curly tail grub, or twin tail. Now Terminator Titatiums go on sale for $5 and that lure holds up, bends back, has nice flash in the skirts, and I recently had a few good days on the Booyah Real Gill 3.99 in a 7/16 willow tandem and also a Hildenbrant Snagless Sally inline in 3/8 chart. I fished nothing but spinnerbaits and Ribbon tail worms (CUlprit and power Worms) for years, and now I will go chatterbait over spinnerbait all the time. I learned it and get it, and I feel I can do more with a Chatterbait, and it seems to find Larger Fish.....I like the custom designs with quality hooks, nice skirts, good paint since I will often let a chatterbait sit still, or not move at all, spinnerbaits I either reeled, or let it flutter down.....
  13. Pradco can't ship us enough Bomber Fat A's and Rebel/Cordell lures lately.
  14. Hey Guys and Gals, If you could have a few batches of your favorite soft baits made in any color pattern, what brand & styles would you want customized? Is there a bait you love but wish they offered it with heavy metal flake? I love so many different soft baits and I like custom colors to give the fish a new look, and I am curious to see what baits mean the most to you, and what color would you choose to add or modify? Last year I went with 6" sticks in a green pumpkin gold flake/Junebug Swirl w/ chart flake...it is ok, but not something people ask to borrow. I also had somei 5" Swimming Flukes made in a Motor Oil chartruese Change over with silver flake which are really good, but my homerun was a Bass Assassin Turbo Shad in a clear translucent body/black laminate w/ Red,purple, silver flake. They ended up being floaters, crazy soft, ripped very easy, but I never get upset if I go through a ton of plastics if the Fish are playing ball. I thought the flake was way to heavy, too loud, but it worked in clear or stained water, and was so versatile. I will take floating mistakes anyday for alot of baits. I want to do some 4" Hollow Bellies in pearl white, light blue back, big Red Eyes.... 12" Ribbon Tail in black/chart tail, w/ copper flake, and the Yum Mighty Craws in a vibrant bright pearl with black and brown flake in larger dots than normal. I am curious to see how others view color. Is it adding some flash to Junebug or some Red to fill the spectrum? Old school Purples or grapes? Manns jelly worm colors, or new Roboworm colors on say an Ugly Otter or on a toad? Thanks in advance. Does Culprit still make a Moccasin laminate? A mag trick worm in that color would find it's way onto a worm hook for sure. I used Culprits for years and nothing else until powerbait arrived.
  15. I would suggest doing some research and understand why certain braids are more money, made for spinning reels, why gore or titatium is added....I sell lots of Braid to customers and I can say with 100% confidence that there is alot of bad info that is being passed around and tough to find 2 fisherman who like the same line. All the mentioned lines above are great choices as long as you use them as the right tool for the job you are getting done. Most People Love to just go with Power Pro and that is Ok since they are used to it, trust it, and it is very good quality. However, Power Pro Plus may be a bit more expensive, but fishing an 8 strand spectra weave is also much quieter, more abrasion resistant since it has 8 strands vs. 4, softer, and it is awesome line, but Power Pro 4 strand in the green box has a rough feel to it, and that is a benefit if I am fishing heavy weeds as it acts like a weed whacker and cuts through weeds when flipping. Suffix 832 is Top Quality as well, VMC/Rapala make great products, it is an 8 strand but they also add a strand of Gore to help with abrasion and also to help the line sink. I find 832 to be my preference if I want a smooth casting braid, but one that still has an edge to it and is sharp. I love to use Berkley Crystal, Tuff Line Duracast, Spider Wire coated lines on spinning gear which is how they market the coated braids or superlines. Crystal is a strand of Dyneema (spectra = Dyneema almost identical for most part) and it is coated with PE so it has a slick feel instead of the feeling of a weave or braid, but I find it handles great on spinning gear, and I never have luck on casting gear with it so I use coated lines on spinnning reels only, and it works for me. I was in love with Daiwa Samurai which is a very tight spectra weave which makes it slick, thin, quiet, and stronger than Power pro Plus and was supposed to be the best line out a few months ago as I purchased a 15lb 2.5lb diameter which is so thin and it breaks much higher than 15lb. Power Pro is 10-4 or 10-2, and Tuf Line, Stren, Berkley, Spider Wire, Pro all make great line, but it is good to understand differences as some need more care when tying knots etc...I found Samurai to be great for 3 weeks, and I must of had a bad batch because it started breaking for no reason at all and I have never had a line do that to me, and I can't afford the price to replace it anymore. I am sure it was just a bad batch and that can happen, but learn why guys use Nylon Monofilament vs. Fluorine Monofilament for leader or even mainline for different applications.....Once you figure out what you like, you can jump from Pro to tuff line Xp to suffix y6 if one is on sale and not have a learning curve. I know every time I try a new braid it is always a few knots before I understand it or break it in.
  16. Fishing can be alot more than just having an awesome hobby.Best Part about Tournaments, CLubs, Sponsership is networking and you get to meet a ton of good men and woman through fishing, and you never know when opportunities will come knocking . Keep having fun fishing, and always remember to listen and never dismiss any suggestion another angler gives you even if it seems crazy. I often learn more about fishing from my friends who have never fished before since they do not have pre conceived notions of what lures are supposed to be used.....
  17. I hate when I count pennies, and lose out over a $1, and not sure why I was trying to keep the price under $100 for the Smoke. I should have auto set $105 as I lost out on 2 chances in last 24 hours and that is every bit of a $200 Reel in my opinion. It fits in the palm so perfectly, and it sounds perfect when casting. I see so many deals on Ebay right now but Smokes and Helios take some pefect timing, so congrats on a steal.... Enjoy.
  18. I like to try new models and brands every time I purchase a new set up and working around rods and reels all day they some how end up in my Rod Rack and I can honestly say that I am no longer judging reels by how much they cost when comparing to another reel. I find the Lews Baitcasting reels (Just grabbed BB1 and Tourny Pro and I can't get over how well they fit into my palm, and also how smooth they cast. I have always felt you get what you pay for and that is true, especially with reels, as you can buy a Silver Max or Black Max and they will most likely work well for a year or two, get the job done, but when I see sales and the Exceler for $45, Citrix $59, Orra SX 99, Pro Qualifier etc...I honestly do not reach for my 2 most expensive Reels, since I purchased them based on what everyone else said about the reel, and they are in great shape, I just traded the Daiwa and also the Okuma Serrano to a friend since the Exceler is a steal for cranking, the Aird at &69 for combo is just a cool looking reel, I could care less about the T-Wing, it maybe gave me an extra few yards once in a while, but just one more gadget that can break. I purchase Silver Maxes and Black Maxes for Kayak Fishing and buy them Refurbished for a good deal, and they seem to be nice for a few months and then they start to go downhill, but I fish reels hard, and for the Money, they are good all purpose reels.....I think the Citrix at $49 with rebate is the deal right now for anyone on a budget. I like that reel better than the Serrano, and Komodo,Krios...I find quantum to be nice but it has to be PT or they seem to not look so shiny after a few trips. I am looking to get a deal on a Pinnacle Optimus or Producer as I want to try them out, I hear good things. Hard to argue with a Pro Max, Orra or Curado, Accurrist, Kinetic, BPS, even Gander Mountain has a nice reel for $49 which seems to be a Kinetic.
  19. I purchased an inexpensive 6'6 med light spinning rod combo at Dicks a few years ago, and I use that spinning rod at least 2-3 hours per week, and this is either year 4 or 5, and for casting along the bank from shore, on a Kayak, I have to say it sure feels like a Rod that would cost in the $50-$70 range IMO. I think it says Jimmy Houston on the one I have, or that could be the 5'6 I use to cast into tight spots from the bank while pond fishing.... I have found that you can get really nice Rods in the $25-$79 Range if you look for closeouts and I always buy overstocks from the previous year, so I am ok being a few months behind everyone else. I am not going to compare my field and stream rod to a Falcon Rod I have, but I would put it up against some of the Rods that are popular and sell for $50-$80 like say a Daiwa, Abu, Berkley rod which are all good so I am not knocking any product, I was just commenting last week that I am surprised that rod is in my rotation as I only purchased it when I left my stuff at home and just needed something for a weekend. I also have a spinning reel I think came with it called a Fish Hunter, has 5 bearings, and the reel has outlasted my Pfueger Supreme, and Procyon, so go figure....If you want to find a deal on a spinning reel, the abu Garcia Orra S which looks identical to this years Revo can be had online for $30-$40 and I no longer say the President or Shimano/Mitchell 300 are best reels for under $50......Tackle Warehouse has Carrot Stix rods and also some nice Dobyns rods but I picked up 2 carrot sticks and maybe I am just not that into rods, but I can't see the rods in the $200-$300 range being worth it as the difference that I notice is not all that much. $64, and $88 for $150 Stix which are super light pair up nicely with a small and light Okuma CItrix, Lews BB1.
  20. I have a buddy who showed me an awesome way to manage soft plastics on a boat, kayak, or from the bank...Take what you plan on using with you to the lake for the day in sandwich ziplock bags...I know some elaztach is bad, I leave that stuff in original bags, but I can't see what I have in a bag of Yum, I have 30 bags that say Yum and some are craws, grubs, senkos etc... So, Even though I want to bring a few hundred pounds, I force myself to divide the bags into groups and I will put a few bags of sticks together, few bags of flipping craws, tubes, some swimbaits, maybe dropshot and then hang them from a clothes hanger.....I label with tape and section them off as FLipping, Sticks, Ribbons, Finesse, LIttle, Swimbaits, then last few bags are under the tag.."wont use but had to bring just in case" I now realize I stick to 3 colors and maybe 6-8 baits, and I like not bringing 80 bags with me.
  21. alot of plastic companies share baits, ever look at the bass pro humpin toad and the charlies frog? I know that several baits that are beloved are also available in a few smaller companies bag without the magic stamp, or maybe they change the gold flake to copper...Learned about that when I would go to the factory and see it all go down.....Amazing and glad they are still making them in the USA. I do Love the Big BIte Sticks, Rage tail and any coffee smelling bait works, and Zoom, Culprit, Mister Twister....Every company makes good baits, some better than others, and if you believe that brand A is better than Brand B, then it is true regardless of price.Confidence matters most for me, and I am a fanatic about detail and action, and I have dropped alot of sticks in my pool over the years, and GYB/Kinami?........... ...... do have a shimmy that is tough to beat. They pulsate like no other. The Net bait Salt Lick is interesting with the pork, I find it to be a very good bait and usually if I only get 1 fish out of the bait, then it usually means it will have a nice action on the drop. I have purchased worms from companies charging a premium as I like to try new stuff, and have watched the worm fall like a rock and the color looked great, but worms were junk. I bet they are durable however, but I wouldnt know, once I fell behind 2-0 to my buddy, I was grabbing for one of my favorites and I like a Dinger, GYB, Gambler, Salt Lick, and Love some Chompers and Venom.
  22. Sebile makes a su or suspending model and I like the su77, but their Sinking version sk77 is very good as well...Wanted to clarify. Glad I found those Lures, they can Hunt all day long.
  23. THe Sebile Flatt Shad Suspends Like a Champ..It only dives 18" but it stops nose down on a dime and sits on top of Hydrilla. Best Lipless Crank many Days, best lure many days IMO. I love the Amber Fashion and Silver Mullet liquid colors, and the bait is silent, but has thump for a flat sided crank......I can't think of another lipless crank that suspends except for the Mirrolure Mirrodine which suspends in Saltwater, but sinks in Fresh...However, the Paul Brown Soft Dine will suspend in Fresh, and is a heck of a lure as well. Great in ponds near fish that are shy. I am always surprised more people do not fish Floating Rattle Traps.
  24. That fish looks bigger than a 7.11 we recently caught and are basing the figures on the Formula of girth, length, fork of tail etc...Cameras are tricky and I have seen legit 5's look like 2's, and vice versa. I am going to say that could be pushing 10, could be pushing 8.....length and we could figure it out pretty close. Huge Fish, Congrats. Anyone saying less than 7lbs is joking.
