  1. Pop-max X-pod Spro frog Honorable mention would be the buzz jet and gunfish.
  2. I guess if the Conquest is free I will take it!!!
  3. There ares several key distinctions from the Chronarch and Curado 50e. Most folks right them off as small differences but to me they are still slightly noticeable. First, the bearings are slightly better quality. Second, the backup anti-reverse mechanism is left out of this reel. Third, the brake pins are they grey/clear variety over the standard redish pink pins. The reel also feels a bit smoother to me as well. Great reels for most all bass techniques with the exception of a few heavy torque techniques. The maroon color looks sharp as well. Nice pickup!
  4. I tend to only use two scents. The first is megastrike original formula and the second is the smelly jelly in baitfish. The smelly jelly is more like a thicker liquid than a true jelly. The megastrike is a thicker paste. These seem to work the best w/out having foul odors to them. I also believe they aren't very messy to apply either.
  5. Do you have a link to a video of folks "punching" mats with a beefed up dropshot.
  6. Dropshots typically involve an exposed hook and a weight under a 1/2 oz. Punch rigs usually have weights over an ounce and and a "hidden" texposed hook. Not sure why you would want to combine the 2.
  7. Bluebasser on here makes one of the best I have used. Very good quality baits.
  8. PM Bluebasser. His are phenomenal and I have used a some of the brands on TW.
  9. Handles, bearings, handle knobs, and custom anodizing. Great folks for sure with good products and customer service!
  10. Great follow up on this product Goose! If I had my way you would be the offiical review source for all new products. After reading said review I always feel like I have a much better grasp on the product being reviewed. And to top things off the ultimate approval rating just seals the deal! Please continue posting such reviews as time, money, health, and weather allow...
  11. This! Same exact philosophy with the maribou roadrunners.
  12. There are always the tried and true classic Daiwa reels. Pixies, TDZ, Steeze, Alphas, etc. Plenty of them to be found online still. You don't have to buy new Daiwa reels to keep yourself in the Daiwa camp. I fish mostly Daiwa and Shimano reels from years past to the present. If you decide to switch to Shimano try a few reels first before going all in. I would fish them for a good while too.
  13. He doesn't make a bad jig period. Simply put, some of the best jigs I have ever used.
  14. Maybe just a gold cast control cap to complete it. Nice reel!
  15. Build one on a Phenix K2 blank!
  16. 8 or 10# flouro. The higher you go the more memory and line handling issues you will have. On the lighter side you lose the ability to fish around cover.
  17. Get in touch with Gary at TheTackletrap. He fishes alot of higher end rods such as the GLX and NRX lines. He could point you in the right direction.
  18. I have 2 of the original Gen 1 Cumara spinning rods. Unfortunately neither is the model in question. I have the 7'2 ML fast and 7'2 medium xf drop shot rod. They are great rods and fish very well. I am not sure how that model fishes what you want it to so I won't comment there. I believe your rod should be covered under the lifetime warranty even though Shimano has changed their warranty policy. Worst case scenario is that you dont like the rod and have to sell it. The Gen 1 Cumaras still fetch alot of money in good to mint condition.
  19. Nice post Lucky! The best part of what should be noted is the fact that the rod isnt physically altered in anyway that would void the warranty.
  20. Very nice hardbait collection "Ok Bass Hunter"! I have many of the same baits and even in those colors.
  21. Will the review be written by you or the GF? (Looks purdy and catches fish!)
  22. Nice write up and on the water testing! Always a good read!
  23. Sounds like it was a hit! Keeping kids entertained at that age is always a chore.
  24. Outside of the eyes, price, and years of production, are there any other differences among the standard and straight eye 110s?
