I use both mono and fluorocarbon lines. I use very little braid or braid plus leader. By todays standards and everything being heavily driven by braided lines I am in the minority. For weightless plastics, jigs, and texas rigs I prefer fluorocarbon. For all purpose combos, topwaters, spinnerbaits, or chatterbaits I prefer mono.

Glad to hear this! I recall it wasn't long ago you were posting some brief clips of your workouts on here including "leg day". Time to get back after it!

Swimjig would get my vote.

More jigs for sure. 45 isn't enough to wet my appetite. Hair jigs, living rubber, swim, traditional silicone, etc...

Was it at least a legal tackle or more of a targeting type of thing

Buy a big clear tote/bin from anywhere like Target, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Put the shells on their sides. By doing so you can get a good dozen or so packs in a container. I do this for all my Keitech baits. For the rage baits I put them in a worm bag with no inserts since Rage is more of a flatter package then Keitech.

It would work but like anything else how heavy of baits has to be considered. You may be better off with the MBR 842.

I only have 2 or 3 reels in the 5:? ratios. I have a few 8:? ratios. Most of what I use is in the 6 or 7 gear ratios. If there is any sort of resistance or drag to the bait I prefer the 6 ratio reels. Anything like frog, worm, jig, or topwater fishing I prefer the 7+ reels.

I was thinking it was one of those fancy cakes that are supposed to represent something else...in this case sliced brisket! Boy was I wrong.

Buy the SV 103 and don't look back. They won't be available as long as other reels. Get on the train or it will leave without you.

Like Megastrike a lot. However had an issue with the back end of the tube leaking product. Contacted the company and never heard back. At $8 a tube I just chalked it up as a defective product or something that got through quality control. Have bought another tube since then but was less than impressed with their customer service. I also like Smelly Jelly in the tubes in the liquid form, specifically the bait fish flavor. Use it on flukes all the time.

From memory there have been 50, 70, 100, 150, 200 and 300 sized reels that Shimano has made that are popular among bass fisherman. Size of reel is normally determined by the size of the frame. So yes, a 50 or 70 sized reel will be smaller in size and usually weigh less. 150 and 200 sized reels are considered pretty averaged size in the industry and sort of all around use reels for most general bass apps. 300 sized is designed for large baits or even bigger game fish like striper or muskie. Personally for what if typically throw and where I fish, any 50/70 sized reel will cover about 75% of my bass fishing. For the remaining 25% I will go up to a 100 or 200 sized reel. I don't fish swimbaits and A-rigs so need for me to own a 300 sized reel at this point. Also some reels have aftermarket spools with more or less line capacity. For example need more line capacity for crank baits...swap a deeper spool. Want to covert a 50 sized stock reel to something for throwing small baits...swap a BFS shallow spool.

Not sure what is best or how you could ever measure best anything. However as a jig enthusiast I would look for a few things when considering what "Brand" I buy: 1. Wire tie or at least have this as an option - You can always wire tie a colar banded jig but you need a few things to do it. 2. Skirt color options or ability to order custom colors that fit your style and waters 3. Price being some what reasonable 4. Quality components from the hook to the skirt to the head/paint 5. Different head and head color styles - Swim, Arky, Brush, Poison etc... Siebert offers all of the above and is wise pick. I also really like Northstar, Dirty Jigs, Lockjaw custom jigs, and 6th Sense. I have bought jigs from guys I "know" and they do killer work as well.

Nice snag! I grabbed an Airy Red Pixy a few weeks back. Really like the reel and the way it casts and fishes.

My only gripe about the stock SV spool is it is too tame. Might have try a spool asap in it.

Would be a great choice. Also a good pick for big fishing too especially those half once plus jigs.

Keep in mind that Bluebasser fishes more than most. I am lucky to get out once or twice a week for 3 or 4 hours. I bet he fishes several days a week or more with plenty of full days in the mix. He uses his equipment a good amount so if he seems to be impressed by something (especially since he has been using a few of those reels for months now) I would value his input. It is not like he fished them once or tossed them around in the backyard and then wrote a review. Plus he bought a few on his own dime which to me says something and it is much more than a mod pumping a sponsor product. Also a few YouTubers I follow have been using the KastKing reels for a while and one as a frog set up. These guys are hard on their gear and fish a ton as well. They seem pretty satisfied as well. For what you pay for them I think folks would be pleasantly surprised. Will they last for years...that is the only question I would have but if they dont you aren't out much. Other option would be to buy a used reel something that would have retailed for $100 can be had for $50-80 pretty easily.

You bought a Curado L? We barely have the K model out.

Where does the different lie in your opinion? Thought about picking a second reel up but I have so many 6:? gear ratio reels.
