Hey guys. I haven't gone fishing in about 6 years but I am going these next 2 weekends, and probably more after. I looked around my house for some rods/reels and this is what I came up with.
I found a 6' HT Micromaster Super Ultralight but looks like part of the rod is missing and it's only 5'. It has a HT Masterpiece 1750G Ultra Light reel on it.
I found a Stamina XL 4155 reel and put it on the Shakespeare rod that I have, the rod is probably about 7', definitely feels a lot more study than the microcaster.
What sort of line should I buy for these? Is there a way I can buy one line and put it on both? I know the microcaster had a lower weight capacity.
Is it safe to say I could use the Micromaster rod for Bluegill and the shakespeare rod for fishing Bass?
I'm not really looking to buy anything else so I'm just wondering if these setups are decent, I don't need anything exceptional but I do want it to work.
I'm sure my pops will have some setups, I'd just like to have some set up when I meet him.
Thanks,
Kent
