  1. I use many baits varing the size. Over here in Washington we have Sniper Baits. They work great both the bolts and snubs. I use these when I really want to go small in tough conditions. When I'm nailing them and want a kicker fish I tend to lean towards either a Reaction Innovations Samllie Beaver and their Flirt Worm. These are what's at the top of my list when it comes to drop shotting. I also love the 4 1/2" Robo Wenie Worm in the FX series. My favorite color is Peoples Choice.
  2. Honestly guys how old are you. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but this is becoming very childish. your acting like kids on a play ground. Our moderator said enough is enough and yet we all still take low blows. If Brent wants to whine let him. I'm an Ike fan and a Brent fan. He is a very accomplished angler. He's trying hard just like Ike did. We could have said the same thing about Ike 5 years ago before he won the classic. He was the same as Brent is now. One title away from being a true contender in any tournament. the to the post about KVD, Denny Brauer, and Ike being worried about Brent. Well they should just like any one who's in the top 50 on the tour. They all could come right up behind them in any tournament. Plus if they worry about any one else. They're forgetting the simple part of tournament fishing. you can't beat any one unless you catch the fish.So with that said you have to catch the fish before you can worry about winning or losing a tournament. Just my .02 cents
  3. We all could stand and point fingers at the few, but the question is what can we do. I'll say this no one can complain about being crowded or surrounded by bad apples until they've been to the Bouy 10 fishery on the columbia River on Kite Fest weekend.
  4. The healthiest thing is to work on fundamentals. With this I mean casting and fishing abilities. When i was your age decided i wanted a boat instead of a sponsorship. The boat has given me the ability to compete against the older people in my region and has given me the experience needed to flourish in the bass industry. i've taken every business class possible. Yet I only have one sponsor. Maybe I'll pick up a few this year. I will say this my biggest and best supporter and sponsor is myself. I'm sponsored by my back pocket. Sponsors aren't absolutely needed until you are looking to make a carreer out of fishing. Education first my young friend. Don't be like myself worrying about getting into a four year college. Don't make it hard on yourself. I see to many young people getting caught up in all the sponsor hype. It's not how you want to start. I'd rather be fishing instead of working sportsman shows and all that fun stuff. Just a piece of advice from personal experiences.
