It got debited today so hopefully it goes out tomorrow. Got it shipped to the store so hopefully they call me asap when it gets in. Next week is my bday and I'm going on a 3 day fishing/camping trip and I'd like to take it with me.
I normally use a black papi craw on my blue/black jig, but recently switched to a blue/black creature worm. Lots of flaps and appendages on this thing and it gives it a slightly longer and slimmer profile.
We eat them, but when the freezer is stocked up, we toss them back. We never keep probably more than 3 out of our limit if we even hit our limit. Can't beat a good fish fry.
Yeah but I really wanted to use my sx on my vendetta rod for my heavier cranks. Its not a huge deal I have to really tighten the spool tension, I just hate how it feels on the retrieve with it cranked down. Was hoping there was a fix, but I guess my new Revo S will get more action.
I use 12# trilene xl. After I tie on a 1/4oz swim bait hook and stick an anaconda on it, I'm lucky to have 1/8th of a turn left before the bait wont fall. Just odd that my black max doesn't have this characteristic.
It's frustrating more me because my cheapo black max 2 is much easier to get dialed in than my sx. It also doesn't need near the amount of cranking on the spool tension knob to adjust for lure weight. I have until September 25th to return this and I may just do it.
I just made a thread about my SX that has this same issue. It's a gen 2 though. It's almost as if that little brown disc isn't thick enough or something.
I have never had a reel that needs the spool tension knob screwed down this far to get the proper adjustment for lure weight. I checked to made sure the little brown disc is in there and it is, so not sure why I am about a half turn from running out of threads to adjust the tension with just a 1/4 swim bait hook and a worm. Anyone else have this issue??
I called and talked to a manager at BPS. She said that they had some in back and to come in and they would snag me one of those. I have to say that I'm not really liking the reel seat on the veritas just holding it, but I'm sure I will get used to it.
I was gonna wait awhile to see how the reviews were but couldn't resist the bass pro deal. I hope it ships out quickly as I can't wait to try it out. I have to return my veritas since the epoxy around one of the guides is cracked. Most of bass pros rods are beat all to hell at our local store. They are all dinged or scratched up. Hope my reel isn't lol.
Ordered a Revo S from BPS and took advantage of their 6 payment sale they have going on. Picked up a micro guide series 7' m/h veritas too. Gonna be sweeeeet.
I got my reel shipped to the store so hopefully it arrives fairly quickly. Picked up a 7ft mh veritas micro guide rod tonight at BPS so I'm ready! Where did you get those b/w handle grips? Looks cool with those on.
