  1. I went mh/f. I don't think it's nearly as stiff as my mh vendetta.
  2. I've got the STX and I love it.
  3. Uhh which revo, and unleash the shimano fanboys.
  4. I used Luck E Strike brand made with gamakatsus. Works great for me. About $4 for 4 at bps.
  5. I barely tx rig worms anymore. The rage rig has taken it's place.
  6. Good advice. Never thought of that.
  7. Glad everyone got a good deal on these.
  8. These are good, along with Jewel's Squirrel head. It has a great light wire hook.
  9. I'm gonna pick up smokey shad and silver bling. Silve bling should be awesome.
  10. I'm not brand loyal either. I've been fishing with Daiwas, Shimanos, Abus, Quantums and Zebcos all of my life. Abus are what I primarily use now, because they just feel good in my hand and perform nicely.
  11. Thanks.
  12. Can you work these like a popper, or is a steady retrieve the way to go?
  13. If I wanted a Shimano, I would've bought one. Don't want one, so I don't have one. You Shimano guys are a little over bearing sometimes.
  14. AMEN! :battery-062:Any posts I make about Abu Garcia products always have at least 2 comments on how I should have gotten a Shimano. Obviously if I wanted one, I would've bought one.
  15. I've got baits that are coffee scented, garlic scented, some that have YUM F2 attractant etc, and I've yet to see any of it make any difference.
  16. What are some good poppers that won't break the bank? Been looking at some Rebels and SKs.
  17. New gear is always nice, but if what you have still gets the job done and you're satisfied with how it performs, then save some cash and use what you have.
  18. I hate being shore bound. When the reservoir here gets low, we take our boat out of dock and don't stick it back in until the water is back up near march. The good thing is that you can walk out to where you wanna be most of the time, and even find some lost lures lol.
  19. The REVOS I've gotten lately I'm sure are from the first few runs. Early adopters like myself always experience more issues than those that buy the same things later on down the road. Kinks will always need to be worked out no matter how well planned or manufactured something is.
  20. Agreed. I've gotten away with cheapo rods for years, but never have been able to keep a cheapo reel going for more than 2 seasons. That being said, my Revo S is on a veritas, and my STX will be on a Villain as soon as they micro guide version hits.
  21. Walmart.com has the veritas micro and winch rods for around $70. Just picked up another for that price.
