  1. I am trying to do this also. The Bait Monkey is at his strongest and most powerful in the wintertime. It gets so bad at times I need put on a blindfold and plug my ears until the urge passes. I said trying.
  2. Hi Everyone, still iced over here. I will be drop shotting a lot more this year and have always used a worm of some sort. Does anyone use anything else like minnow imitations or craws? My wheels are turning while I’m waiting out the cold. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
  3. What everyone but the Philly faithful already counted the Eagles out? Nicky Foles has it in him and we have a pretty good defense. I think there will be some surprised national sports casters on Saturday.
  4. I use a fluoro leader with all my braid setups except top water. I don’t change the color any. No issues with catch rate.
  5. I really have a hard time putting down a tube. It accounts for more bass then anything else I throw. Probably because I throw that the most. Hence me having a hard time putting it down. Lol.
  6. That’s what she said..... Also what’s a 10 pounder?
  7. I wouldn’t meet him. Anyone that has to hide behind a computer to be a tough guy is surely a little off. Just blow if off it makes not a lick of difference to your life. Besides the real tough guys don’t give anyone any problems either on the internet or in real life.
  8. I always catch a big bass or 2 in the winter while crappie fishing. Nice work!
  9. I Don’t know about witches and warlocks but I definitely had a voodoo hex on me today at the lake. I even saw some bass with dread locks laughing at me from the distance as I was getting skunked.
  10. If you are using it wacky use a wacky jig to fish it deeper. That is what we do when fishing senko' deeper then 10 feet.
  11. Who the Phillies playing? Oh yea never mind. I have cousins in Cleveland and have seen a lot of games out there. Buddy Bell was one of my favorite players growing up. Go tribe!
  12. I keep it down sometimes when fishing rock piles deep. Haven't had any issues doing it.
  13. The crawfish around me must be PB&J. My most productive by far this year.
  14. I use this when using Gliss line. After you wrap up and back down and go through the loop wrap 3 more times then go through the loop again. Wet it and pull it tight. You should be good to go.
  15. I play blues harp and sing in a band with my friends. We do about 6 shows a year nothing crazy. I also trail bike with my wife and play basketball in an over 40 league.
  16. I have a Revo sx that I love. I also have a Lews speed spool that doesn't see much work. I just thing the Revo is much smoother.
  17. I have been using Diawa j-braid also and like it a lot.
  18. Thanks Glenn, I'm never sure when to peg a weight or not. I was always pegging then I saw Hank Parker say he never pegs so I don't peg anymore. I catch fish both ways but am wondering if one way is better then another.
  19. We were in Atlanta for a couple of days and I got a guide "Jimbo" and fished lake Lanier on Monday for spot. We were fishng topwater in the middle of the day with boat traffic all around. It was crazy. We caught a bunch with the biggest around 4 lbs. these fish are fighters and a lot of fun to catch. First time we ever caught spot being from the north and were very impressed.
  20. When I'm fishing by myself I enjoy the hunt and slow things down quite a bit. I enjoy trying to figure it out. When I have someone in the boat with me I feel a little pressure to put them on some fish. It's the combination of being on the water with all it's sights and sounds and trying to put together the puzzle for that day. It's about spending time with my son's, friends and family and passing on knowledge. It's about learning new things and exploring. It's about talking about life and laughing. I never get angry and have an unequaled calmness. These things and many more is why I go fishing and I never get board.
  21. I use Maui Jim readers. They are comfortable, light weight and good polarized sun glasses. You can find them for about $150.00 if you hunt around.
  22. I think it is dragging on the bottom in short quick burst only a couple inches at a time. I call that technique dragging the bottom in short quick burst only a couple inches at a time but I think some call it cracking a tube because of the sound the line makes. I could be wrong.
  23. I have a hard time putting down a tube while fishing one. Hop it drag it crack it or stroke it. I catch a lot of largemouth on tubes consistently.
  24. I don't think so. I think it is going to be a sweep. GS looks real tight on both ends of the court. It kind of ruins basketball for me. How is a team expected to compete against a stacked team like that. Meanwhile I'm still stuck here in Philly trusting the process.
  25. Caught one on a tube like that yesterday. Always a pleasant surprise. I could not purposely do that. I need to be doing somthing even if it's dragging a jig an inch at a time.
