I never leave home without it. I'm a Aruku Shad fan in the ghost color. They are the bees knees man.

I always nose hook a fluke with a 1/0 octopus hook. This is the only way I know how to fish them and seems to work well for me.

I don't like feathers on my hooks for some reason. If a lure comes with them fine but I don't actively search them out.

I use the zoom fat Albert grub with a .125 or .25 jig head. Good mid summer bait on the lakes and rivers around here. Green pumpkin, black or white in color.

I like the Bps sonar blade. I also use Binski's but the bps is a better value. I always order some at the end of the summer.

My wife had a tight wiggling bait 24 years ago but after 5 kids it has turned into a wide wobble now. I love them both. And am glad she does not go onto bass fishing forums. Sorry I couldn't let that one go.

Already then it looks like I will be catching snakehead soon. There seems to be a mixed reaction and I still think the jury is out on them. I also think a lot of fisheries management spokesman and biologist know they can't be controlled so they leane towards the (it's not such a bad thing after all) side. I guess we will see what happens in this lake. Only time will tell and time is the one thing ou can't get back. So I'm going fishing. Thanks for all the info. everyone.

If you have thrown a senko all around the lake and have not caught anything give up there are no bass in there. You could also try getting off the bank with a kayak or canoe. Good luck.

25 or so. I fish for big fish so I don't count dinks. I always tell my brother he catches so many he knows the dinks by name. He's a numbers guy while I'm a quality fish guy.

So the local lake I fish here in PA has been confirmed to hold snakehead. Is really bad news for the bass fishing in this lake. From what I have read they soon take over a lake and push out all the native fish. I'm thinking this is really bad for this fishery. Can these things be controlled?

The females I've come across prefer the bigger baits. Whenever I'm on the females I always bring out the bigger baits.

Has anyone ever heard of drop shotting a pink hula popper? This sounds really different but we have a guy up here in PA that swears by it. Is he just trying to throw people off the bite or what? Let me know if you guys have any info. on this.

I'm using flouro leaders with all my braid set ups. I fish clear water and just have confidence while using it. I am tempted to use straight braid on my new jig rod set up because it seems the braid to flouro uni knot seems to stick in my micro guides.

I feel like I have tennis elbow. I started fishing all year. I don't winterize my boat and fish all 4 seasons. This has greatly increased my bass fishing skills. Like everyone is saying there is no substitute for time on the water.

Here my wives tale. I go fishing too much my wife hits me in the head with a frying pan. I always find the bite to be much better the day before the frying pan.

If you are new and want to catch fish regularly here is what you should be doing. 1) throw a weightless senko green pumpkin in color with a 1/0 circle hook wacky rigged. 2) go back to 1 again and catch more fish. This is how I started all of my children bass fishing. When you start catching fish and you will you can then move on and try a different method. Ask the guys at the spots that you fish what they are using. Remember to keep it simple most lures catch more fisherman than fish. Have fun!

Glad you are ok. Up here in PA a new law went into effect that from November 1 until April 30 it is mandatory to wear a PFD on any boat less than 16 feet in length and all kayaks and canoes. Good law if you ask me. My boat is 18 feet and I wear my PFD when the water is cold and when running. With the blow up PFD's the uncomfortable excuse goes out the window. Oh yea I am also a triathlete but no match for water below 50.

The U.S. Navy is training large mouth bass to swim up inland rivers and scout for terrorist and video any activity. The small Mouth bass will be running escort to take care of any native fish they come across. Now that's smart! But I really do think bass in my area get tied of seeing senko's and will hit something else more often when the season gets kicking.

I just received my HB 998 HD SI. I am going to mount it the weekend. Does anyone have any good initial settings to start out with? I'm sure you guys that have used these units have some better than factory settings to start out with. Thanks for the info. I can't wait to get started scanning with this thing!

I was out yesterday and today. The water around here (outside of Philadelphia) was reading 38 to 41 degrees. All I could manage was a pickerel. My questions is at what temp do the bass start moving to stage for the spawn? Any info. Would be great.
