  1. Hey was that a bass in the gassy knoll in Dallas? Sorry I just can't help myself sometimes.
  2. Fat bottomed girl you make the rocking world go round..... I thinking of fat bottomed girls. I'm going to be chasing fat bottomed girls and my wife won't even mind. Now everyone sing it with me! Fat bottomed girl you make the rocking world go round....!!!!!!!
  3. God Speed and keep on fishing.
  4. Good show. The Mountian Dew winner was fine he just did'nt fish much but seemed to have fun on the show. I would have a blast taking Mike D. Out for some fat bottomed girls.
  5. As long at it has a mostly white belly they can put anything they want on the top of my top water lures.
  6. I sometimes use a 3 way swivel with a small floating crankbait on a 18 inch or so leader and another leader with a drop shot weight when the water is cold to fish a small crankbait deep right off the bottom. I tried this just to see if it would work and the smallmouth seem to like it. This is the only time I add wieght to a crankbait.
  7. X2 on this. If you can see them they can see you.
  8. 1. jig 2. Swimbaits the Zoom type, I'm too much of a sissy to throw the Hudds and such. 3. Zara spook full size.
  9. The Gambler ugly otter and baby otter are my go to creature baits. I like them so much I tried to make a POP mold this winter of them and I call it the unapeeling otter. I'll be ordering more of the originals I'm sure. Where can I buy these in bulk?
  10. It's a good idea to use a swivel when drop shotting if using a regular hook and a palamar knot. I use a crazy alberto knot to join braid to flourocarbon. I use about an 8 foot leader of flouro and this goes through the guides. I also use a VMC spinshot hook so I don't have to worry about line twist. I like the longer flouro leader when drop shotting. Hope this helps.
  11. I have never seen a bass take a snake. I have seen a Muskie swim with it's head out of the water and then a little later I saw it take a baby duck.
  12. I got a jerkbait and I'm not a fan. It didn't seem to run that well. I will give it another shot this year but usually the first impression is correct. The poppers do look nice.
  13. Good advice. I fish from memory sometimes and it does not always pay off. Your post reminds me to read the conditions and make changes if need be. I use my experience to choose what technique and lure to use.
  14. If it's just one thing it would have to be my hat.
  15. All good stuff here guys. I'm thinking about trying the Rage rig this weekend. The ice has been off the ice for a week now and water temp is low 40's. Do you think it's too early for plastics? I throw a jig at this time of year and was wondering if this would work. Any info. Would be great.
  16. Good info. guys. I will be giving it a shot this coming weekend. It looks like the ice is of the lakes. Thanks.
  17. Stealth typing on an iPad.
  18. Has anyone used these yet? It doesn't seem to make sense to me. It looks like they are just trying to get some more sales. Why not just use a lipped crankbait? Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom
  19. I caught a fish last year that had a line comming out of its throat. I pulled on it a a 6 inch swimbait came out of it must not have been in there long but I had a hard time believing it was trying to eat again. The myth that the hook will eventually rust out comes from saltwater fishing. In fresh water it will eventually rust out if not stainless but will take a very long time.
  20. Give piggy the conch shell and then we can stone him...... I'm a rock guy.
  21. That right there sound like you are fishing with Harry Potter. Googley Smoogley and stuff.
  22. Megastrike here also. I take a dab and rub it on my hands before fishing. I did this one time and started nailing slobs. My brother wanted some and I made him wait because he thinks scent does not help. I finally gave him a dab and he started nailing them. This is only on his hands mind you. I was also putting it on my baits. I think the fish might have just turned on but it was really funny.
  23. It depends on the time of year in the dead of winter 1 or 2 bass is good. In the other 3 seasons I catch a lot more. I am always willing to chage techniques, water depths, structure, areas to find what the fish want that day. Most of the fun for me is trying different techniques until I start seeing results. Mix it up some more and you will see better results.
  24. I'm have been fishing through the ice here in the Philadelphia area so that has kept me busy. I'm sure my wife will be glad to get all of my tackle out of the living room but I have to say this should be my most organized year ever! Until I start fishing that is.
  25. I love to throw a jig into beaver huts. Big producer of big fish for me.
