  1. I can only seem to get my spinners undressed after dinner and a movie? It seems like most people like their spinners undressed from the get go. Wish I could figure that one out.
  2. What you guys don't play horse shoes or hand grenades? Besides Babe Ruth did it on beer and hot dogs not steroids. Sorry I saw the opening.
  3. Hey man, trees got to eat too. Sometimes they a hungrier then others. Can't catch no fish on the couch.
  4. When rigging wacky I use a 1/0 Gammy octopus hook. Don't set the hook just reel in the slack and keep reeling. This take some getting used to but you won't lose anymore fish. Hope this helps.
  5. If trying to keep it simple use mono. It has been around a lot longer then anything else and works fine for most applications. When you start getting more advanced you can try braid and floro. I started using mono as did everyone on her but now use all 3 for different techniques. Good luck.
  6. A good alternative to a stick bait is a "Gambler Baby Otter" fish this on a 1/0 EGW and a pegged 3/16 bullet wieght. This will be something different that will catch any fish that is in that body of water.

  8. Thanks for the info. guys. Giving it a shot tomorrow.
  9. Wait til you try 2 flukes at once! Good times!
  10. What is the best time and place to fish the Fat Ika reversed? I want to try this out this year but I'm not sure when or where to fish it. Any help is appreciated.
  11. I use tungsten spoons when I see bass in deep water.
  12. I T-rig a baby brush hog with 3/0 Gammy and a 3/16 bullet wieght pegged. Also on a 1/4 ounce shakey head when fishing deep.
  13. Do any of you guys ever change out the hooks on Strike King's red eye shad lipless crankbaits? If so what do you change to? I have been losing a lot of fish and was wondering this. Thanks for the help. Tom
  14. Gambler's Ugly Otter is my go to. I'm a baby brush hog guy but I like to throw them something they don't see much. Works for me.
  15. Crawling along in the fog one morning I hear a weed eater engine and then heard a splash and then silent. Scared the crap out of us. About an hour later the fog lifted and we saw a guy on the bank looking for his remote control plane. We found the plane and I gave it back to the guy in pieces and said that was a couple hundred dollar mistake wasn't it? He said thanks but more like a $1,000. Planes shouldn't fly in fog.
  16. I fish alone!!!! Yea with nobody else!!!! Sorry this just reminded me of that George Thorogood song. I fish alone when wading and with a partner when in the boat. I fish better when with someone. I'm competitive.
  17. X2 on the spinner. I once bet my brother I could out fish him using only spinners. I had 3 roostertails, a white a black and a yellow. The first cast a pike bit my black one off. My brother was laughing like crazy. The rest of the day I landed 22 bass and tons of crappie and bluegills. He only got 6 bass.
  18. I saw a smallmouth pull a bird away from a largemouth then it beat the crap out of the largemouth with it before it ate it.
  19. The lake looks big enough where they could find a spot away from where you were standing. They only thing I can think of is that they noticed you were a Cowboy's fan and wanted to harass you. Just kidding some people just don't think. Nice fish.
  20. Use a follow nip bait like a senko. Works often.
  21. I use it wacky most of the time with no O ring. I just have never done as well with an O ring then without. I will t-rig around weeds and pads.
  22. Water still in the 50's here crawfish colored lipless cranks and chatterbaits are what's working for us right now.
  23. Also if you place a small finishing nail in the head the bait really goes forward after the lift and pause.
  24. I trim the weed guard back and fan it out before throwing it. I think the fanning helps my hookup ratio. I throw jigs into a lot of wood on beaver huts so I need a weed guard.
  25. The jig heads are the weights. No other weight is needed.
