  1. Yep. Defense is firing on all cylinders.
  2. I use a trout magnet when I have impatient youngsters on the boat. Ultralight rod 2lb. Test and they are good to go. They catch everything.
  3. It looks like you provided both the question and the answer to your question. I’m not familiar with the Tesla X but 5000 is higher than 2720. I’m sure the dealer can also help you out. Good luck.
  4. I like fishing a blade bait and jerkbaits in the cold water. When I know fish are present I like to slow drag a paddle tail swimbait on the bottom.
  5. Yo! Easy on the philly peeps! We also use rooster tails up here!
  6. I melted some in JJ’s once. I use mega strike for scent on zman.
  7. Wow! Congratulations! That was worth the trip!
  8. Cold front moved in and I could not find them today. Tried tight to wood, cover, open water. Down sized my baits nothing. Could only manage 2 dinks. Where do you look when the bite gets really tough during a cold front? Staying home is not an option for me as I am addicted and need a fix when available. Thanks for the help.
  9. I received this real the other day from amazon. I have used it 3 times so far and my first impression is pretty good. You can really notice the line pick up difference from my other spinning reels. It’s much faster and seems to make setting the hook on t-rigged plastics and shakeyheads a lot easier. The drag is not as smooth as my Diawa’s and Shimano’s but seems to be efficient. Time will tell but so far I’m really liking the faster gear ratio. If anyone’s looking for a faster spinning reel I would take a look at these reels. It make fishing with a spinning reel very enjoyable.
  10. Wow! Nice work!
  11. That’s great! I walked by that corner a lot. We are big Ike fans up here.
  12. I’m partial to ML rods for light finesse stuff like senkos, neko rigs, Ned rigs and light weigh & weightless t-rigs. My rods are 6”8 to 7 feet for both large and smallmouth. I use medium rods in the same length when fishing shakey heads and tubes. If you can only get 1 rod I would get the ML for light finesse. Make sure to check the action of the rod also. If you get a ML extra fast action you could use it for all of the above. Good luck and have fun!
  13. Good work! That’s a beauty!
  14. I’ve used the double fluke rig and have caught fish with it. I have never fished it as fast as Aaron Martin does. I will be trying that next time out. Thanks for posting that.
  15. It only bothers me when I see 4 guys in a pontoon boat using shiners and keeping everything of every size they catch. I still don’t say anything I’m not a game warden.
  16. We are still flying high here and think we have a legitimate shot at a repeat. Good coach, good personnel. I know it’s hard but who knows.
  17. Nice! Thanks for letting me know. I love fishing this way.
  18. With little guys on the boat you probably want to keep the tolling motor in the rear of the boat. It’s easier to keep an eye on them and help them if needed when they are in front of you. Have fun!
  19. I might be done with the NBA. Cousins to Golden State. You think any teams want to trade Kevin Hart and Meek Mill for anyone? Frustrated here in Philly. Oh well at least our bass don’t get much over 5lbs around here so that’s good.
  20. You may be able to update the software. I remember doing this 2 years ago via the internet. Ask Minnkota if this is a possible solution.
  21. A tube. I use a tube all the time. It’s not fancy it’s not sexy it’s not the best new thing. It’s just extremely effective where I fish.
  22. How about a shakeyhead? I’d throw that for something different.
  23. I going to try a t-rigged dropshot. I haven’t tried this yet so I put a 1/0 offset EGW hook on to try. I’m hoping it will come through sparce weeds better. Anything else I should know?
  24. Wow! Nice fish! Congratulations!
