  1. Try the tidal Deleware first. I know a guy that does very well there for bass. You might be surprised. Use the same baits and techniques as in a lake. It's in your backyard so it's worth a shot.
  2. I always say to myself that I'm not going to buy any more lures until I deplete some of the ones I have. Yea right. I've got a problem guys I think I'm a lureaholic. I just can't stop.
  3. I picked up a couple of these bags on sale and have never used them before. What are some of the best ways you guys use these? I'm thinking mojo rig or wacky post front for a smaller profile bait. Thanks for the info.
  4. My wife would rather have me spend money on fishing rather then booze and clown porn I'm good! But really there could be worse things then fishing.
  5. Way to find them! 50 lbs. on my tires also.
  6. I don't eat bass but if others want to I'm okay with that. Most bass fisherman are catch and release. I wonder what the mortality rate of bass is after a Tournement in the summer is compared to the fish taken for eating on the same day?
  7. I usually go weightless with a Gammy 1/0 circle hook. Not the octopus circle just the circle I hook up,better with the plain circle. When fishing deeper my son will sometimes use a weighted jig and do ok but I usually go with something else when fishing deep. Good luck out there!
  8. I was on Manor. Lots of shad and the bite was slow. I got 4 bass on a t-rigged skinny dipper in the pads. Deep in the pads fished very slowly and weightless.
  9. Go pro chest mount. Even know the camera is light on the brim of a hat it will hurt your neck after awhile. I speak from experience.
  10. I keep 6 to 8 rods on deck and try to switch until I find a pattern but sometimes I feel like that guy that can only soak a senko because it has always bailed me out before. I probably need to go to SA "Senko Anonymous" but I'm just not ready to admit it yet.
  11. We were on VanSciver on Sunday and the green huge on the lake is the lake turnover it happens in all lakes but is very noticeable in Van Sciver. We did not get any until after 5:00 pm. I was throwing everything I had with no takers. My son was in the back of the boat throwing 5 inch wacky rigged senko and landed 5 large mouth with one going over 5 lbs. I finally gave in a threw the senko and ended with 3. The big bags that were coming from the BCBA Tuesday night Tournements we're caught on off shore humps. With the cooler water they should be spreading out again. We were on Manor on Saturday and got the skunk. Way too may shad around. That sould be changing also. My best fall baits there are jigs, t-rigged creature baits, lipless and My favorite LC Pointer 78. Have fun!
  12. So I tried a 3 inch grub on Scrounger jig and was just wondering why I haven't tried this before. I was killing them on this thing and did not get hung up once. I was fishing a river and just bouncing it back to the boat. I heard flukes work well in this also. Wow.
  13. I have an Abu Garcia Revo that I like a lot.
  14. Spinnerbaits always get a trailer hook from me.
  15. I never use a trailer on a Spinnerbait but always use a trailer hook.
  16. Do you put a trailer on a hair jig?
  17. Braid and floro always. Best of both worlds that way.
  18. Does a square Bill have to bounce off of something to be effective? I have not really used them much thinking you have to bump them off something to get a hit. Any info. Would be great.
  19. I have been catching smallmouth in the Deleware at the Yardley ramp on swimbaits. I have a 12 foot Jon with a 3 hp I run there. It's a nice change of pace.
  20. I'm using he Gambler ugly otter right now.
  21. I was dating a big cow bass from down south this spring. When she told me her daddy told her she was the best kisser in the county I ran. Sorry down south guys I sometimes can't help myself.
  22. I do whenever I spool up with new line or when I get a new reel.
  23. A jig is good. Also don't forget an inline spinner. You can throw a spinner anytime of the year and catch fish.
  24. I keep most of my tackle in the boat covered. If the lake is not frozen I am using it. Last winter not so much. The previous 2 years the lake never froze and we fished all winter.
  25. I flip dinks. Anything else I lip.
