4 inch senko = Most
Jig with a craw trailer = All of biggest but 1
Tiny Bommer crank = 7.8 lbs April 1 2009 Suprized the heck out of me while kayak fishing.
I love it! It just surpassed my wife of 25 years as my valentine this year! I have fallen in love all over again! I'm so excited I feel like a school boy again!!! Sorry guys long winter. It does look good though.
Hook n look is a good underwater show that shows how bass relate to structure, environment and lures. It shows bass fishing from the above and below the water perspective.
I have the most confidence in Black/blue and green pumpkin. I have all kinds of colors but I have the most confidence in these colors because this is what I catch the most fish on. I'm not that smart.
What is the first bait you are going to throw after ice out? I always go with LC Pointer jerkbait for my first bait after ice out. I think I might be missing out not throwing jigs when the water is still really cold but not sure. And yes I'm aware that guys with open water don't have this problem but I'm a Yankee so things go through my head while walking is circles after I've cleaned and organized my tackle for the day.
I throw a popper I have never caught anything on a buzzbait. Will try again this year but will switch to a popper a spook or a prop bait. I have never caught anything on frogs or buzzbaits.
Scatter Raps have been out for a couple of years or am I missing something. Anyway I picked up some when they first came out and did well with them. You can't really burn them or they will roll. The best method I have found is slow and fast enough to make them scatter then slow. Also they are really light so I throw them n spinning gear. I did not throw them last year and not sure why because they worked for me the previous year. I have not fished the deep cranks only the shallow and count downs. Hope this helps.
I swore I was not going to buy anything this winter. It's a good thing I didn't swear to God my wife or any other being that has ears and understands English. My dog understands English but he'll never say anything. Does that answer your question?
One time at band camp....... Diffrent story. Was throwing a t rigged creature bait and the sky's became overcast ahead of a storm last year. I switched to a spook and became a spook master for about 3 hours. Was throwing a full size spook it was the sexy shad color and the big girls wanted to dance. Caught 11 between 3 & 5 lbs with 20 total. It was a day of legends. Next week could not buy a bite on a spook.
I'm about a 100 times a year guy. I fish all year round and in between work and family I usually get out around 2 times a week. I fish a lot before or after work so I don't skip a beat.
Don't lower jaw a pickerel. I had a buddy out kayak fishng and we were catching bass all day. He hooks into his first pickerel and before I saw him he lower jawed it. Ouch.
I think there is too much hardware on an umbrella rig to be effectively weedless. It's worth giving it a try though, you might have a better mousetrap.
I don't like fingerless gloves my fingers get cold. I buy gloves from 5 below they are thin, don't get in the way and keep my hands warm. Best 5 bucks I spend all winter. If my fingers don't get cold I don't need gloves.
