  1. 210-220 whatever it takes.......
  2. I just picked up some Terminator quick change skirts for some spinnerbaits where the skirts melted. Not all the spinnerbaits are Terminator and I was wondering if these will work for those also. This is the first time I have bought replacement skirts so I'm not really sure. Any info. Is appriciated.
  3. 1) braid to fluoro for Senkos, T-rigged worms and creatures, drop shot, shakey head and ripping lipless crank baits through weeds. This is one of my most used combos and will quickly become one of yours also. 2) use cheap mono for backing for braid or fluorocarbon so you get more use out of each spool. 3) The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
  4. Nice to see it go to somone that posts. Maybe it's just me but I hate to see people win things that don't get involved. I was way off with the weight. That forced perspective bass shot is very tricky for sure.
  5. Specifically April 27th 2012. That is very informative information thanks for posting that.
  6. I don't use trailers on spinnerbaits either but always use a trailer hook.
  7. Put 2 or 3 silica gel packs in your lure boxes to keep your hooks from rusting. It is an inexpensive way to keep rust at bay. https://www.google.com/?client=safari&channel=ipad_bm#q=silica+gel+packets&channel=ipad_bm&tbm=shop&spd=15777240224497947756
  8. I would throw a strike king 3XD depending on how you work it you can do both. I always crank and grind the bottom first and then work up from there.
  9. This is the best spinnerbait/chatterbait holder I have found. $1.99 at Walmart or Kmart and holds up to 25 spinner and chatterbaits. It's a CD holder.
  10. You can use mono for any type of fishing and it works fine. Fisherman have been using it for over 70 years for every type of fishing under the sun. I used it all the time until I discovered something else that worked better. I now only use it for spooks and poppers. One of the best bass fisherman I know only uses Triline mono. You need to see what works best for you.
  11. I throw Lucky Craft pointer 78 and 100's after ice out here in PA.
  12. Keep a 3 foot length of weed eater string in the boat to clear out the water stream out of your engine if needed. Just thread it in the outake and clear any obstruction. My Wife's kitchen scissors are as good as any at cutting braid. Put a plastic sandwich bag on a gulp jar before closing it. It will stop any leaks.
  13. I'm giving myself a C for last year. I caught a lot of fish but have not spent enought time fishing offshore. I have all the electronics and equipment to find structure and fish it but always reverted back to the banks. This year I will go for some extra credit and learn to trust my electronics hoping to improve my grade.
  14. Maybe some world leaders should take up bass fishing. In unity there is strength. I'm always learning.
  15. Frogs in February and early March! Are you nuts!!!! It's 6 degrees out there!!! Im jealous. Have fun.
  16. I've tried it and only caught celery and onions when I was throwing it in the salad.
  17. I'm in the red or orange craw camp for the spring. They will be of the lipless variety and I can't wait to throw them. Killer spring baits.
  18. Ugly otter is my must have this year. Because it is what I have caught a lot of bass on in years past and as you have heard before history always repeats itself.
  19. I just got some more Lucky Crafts. I got some problems man...... It's bad man......... I can't shake it man...... I just can't......... I'm starting to go through my own pockets for change before my wife gets to them..... I gotta go look at lures now.......
  20. I use Amber SK11's these work fine for me in all conditions.
  21. Going through tackle while iced in and had some questions about the scrounger. I used these a little last year and had some success. What is your favorite bait to use on these? I read that flukes are a favorite but my success came on small swimbaits in the fall when bass were feeding on small Shad. Do you guys throw these into cover? It just feels like It would get hung up a lot to me. And lastly what is the best/favorite way to fish them. Thanks for any info. guys.
  22. The tackle and baits you have are what you know and have confidence in. No need for the latest and greatest if what you have works fine. My only hope for when I retire is that there is enough sipping whisky left that I can turn it into drinking whisky every once in a while and raise some hell. Have fun on Guntersville!
  23. I hope Ike kills at the classic with it. It looks great to me and you can never have enough jerkbaits.
  24. Chartreuse Shad is what I have confidence in right now. My confidence color has changed a couple of times. That's why I said right now.
  25. Braid to No swivel. Braid to fluoro 6 feet or so with a crazy Alberto knot it's easy to tie and you can find it on the web. A VMC Spinshot and a 15 inch fluoro leader that I slide the weight up or down to where the fish like it. This is very easy and effective. Hope this helps.
