  1. Great catch! Congratulations on your PB!
  2. I love my ultimate bunks. I think you will like yours also.
  3. Bug spray for sure. I use a thrermacell. Also use your sense of feel rather than sight while night fishing. Be careful and have fun!
  4. Nice fish! Good work!
  5. When I fish 2 or 3 days in a row my shoulder starts to hurt. If I don’t fish for a week or so it goes away for the most part. Anyone else have this? Sometimes it’s really bad to the point I think I need surgery. I guess it’s only going to get worse as I get older.
  6. Nice work! That will keep you coming back!
  7. Zoom ultravibe speed craw on a swim jig for the win for me.
  8. I use whatever this guy tells me to because he always catches fish! I’d use a stick some thread and a safety pin if he told me to!
  9. I like both. I use spinning in the river for smallies exclusively and both for largemouth depending on what I’m doing. I am accurate with both but can hit holes in weeds more accurate with a baitcaster.
  10. Looks like the Phillies are back on track. Should be fun to watch.
  11. 6 lb. Flourocarbon seems a little lite for a lipless crankbait. I use 30 lb. braid on a MH rod. My favorite way to fish a lipless is to rip it out of weeds when it gets caught up. I get most of my fish this way. Nothing finesse about a lipless. Good luck!
  12. This is your best best. If you don’t get a trailer to begin with you will be getting one after a couple of trips. This comes from experience and I had a truck with an 8 foot bed. It’s just so much easier with a trailer. Good luck either way.
  13. I have a panfish box if all else fails but I never panic.
  14. I would try a jerkbait this time of year. I have also done well on golf course ponds with with a Neko Rig this time of year. It’s small enough that you can cover the whole pond until you find them. Good luck!
  15. The inline spinner is pretty universal for fresh water fish. Why do I feel like someone is going to sell me the best darn universal fishing lure ever to be created here or in China soon! Fine I’ll take 3! Darn! I just did it again!
  16. First bass on a lure was a purple worm. It smelled like grape. Forget what brand it was in the mid 70’s so probably Manns. Same day I hooked into a Muskie on the same worm. My older brother grabbed the rod from me a fought the muskie. He sits in the back of my bass boat now. Funny how things work out.
  17. I took a pool noodle and cut that around 4 or 5 inches then cut out the shape of my transducer then glued the noodle to the inside of the hull. I added about half inch of bearing grease inside the noodle then put my transducer in and pushed it down. Made all the other connections and it works like a charm through the hull. I used grease instead of glue for the transducer in case I ever wanted to remove it or it malfunctioned. Look on YouTube they will show you how and it is all self contained. Good luck!
  18. Has anyone ever tried this? I catch a lot of bass in some really cold water using a drop shot. Thought about giving this a try this year. Let me know if you have any experience doing this.
  19. I use a feather with a hook in front of a fluke for weakfish in the bay. I have thought of trying this for bass but have not as of yet. I think it would work well. I use the donkey rig sometimes.
  20. I love tubes. Caught a lot of largemouth on tubes this past year casting out and letting it set into weeds then ripping it out and they would crush it on the drop. Am using SK coffee tubes with a 3/0 or 4/0 internal jig head. The open hook is large enough to rip out of the weeds clean. Became my favorite technique last year.
  21. I guess not I was boiling my baits to get them straight early morning. Who knew my wife could smell that well.
  22. My wife yells down from upstairs. It smells like melting plastic!!!?? I yell back I’m cooking fish!!! I’m sleeping in the shed tonight and the rolling pin didn’t hurt much this time. It’s definitely winter at my house.
  23. Going through my tackle killing time and my fluke/swimbait box has a lot of bent tails. Best way to get them stright again boil them I’m thinking. How long do you think. Just a dip or a couple of minutes?
  24. I heard underspins work well in the cold water. I have never caught anything on them. What is the best way to use these? Slow roll off the bottom? I just don’t have enough experience with these. Thanks for the help.
